The battlefield around us turned dark. Suddenly, the ground trembled fiercely due to the force Vivian was emitting. She slowly hovered down the ground, making the pebbles jump up and down due to the amount of killing intent that she was releasing. Standing before me was no longer the same Vivian that I used to see when I was a kid… No, she was gone. Or should I say, that was a fake one. A fake character that doesn't actually exist.
Suddenly, memories of my happy moments with Vivian resurfaced. I remembered those fun moments we had whenever my mother left me with her while she was away for a mission. I remembered how much I cried because of how I missed my mother so much and Vivian was there to comfort me from my sadness and loneliness. She became my bestfriend and my favorite among all my aunties.
But that was fake. Everything… Were fake and were all just a facade.
I clenched my fists, matching my aura against her. Our force clashed one against another, creating a force of shockwave that pushed away everything around our vicinity. Without saying anymore words, we both rushed forward with only one goal: to kill each other.
All my memories with Vivian were resurfacing, but at the same time, I kept burning them for good. The auntie that I loved so much… Didn't exist. Who is then standing before me? A monster. A traitor. Lastly, my mother's murderer.
Goodbye, Vivian. Goodbye, memories.
Our fists clashed, creating a series of shockwaves that pushed everything around us. Due to the heavy blows we were exchanging, the ground that we were standing on collapsed. We both found ourselves plummeting down, yet we continued our onslaught to one another, not caring about our situation.
I kicked Vivian's stomach, pushing myself away from her and landing on the nearest ground. Meanwhile, Vivian flew straight at me and we both continued our fight. She is strong. But, I was stronger. Thanks to all my combat experience, I kept gaining new powers along this journey. Everything that had happened to me, I made sure to burn them deep to my heart so I can always remember the pains and sufferings I had to go through. My rage and pain is what kept me going for this vengeance.
The platform broke once more and before I could hit Vivian, she flew away from me and unleashed a magic attack towards me, hitting me straight on. I groaned in pain, but I kept my cool. Suddenly, my body felt numb. I hit the ground hard, creating a dent on it. I tried to stand up, but my body still felt numb.
"As much as I want to torture you, I have a very important business to attend with. Let's resume this fight whenever your lovely aunt is done, okay?" She said and left me alone. I gritted my teeth throughout the pain until I could feel my strength returning once more. I chased after her, but I was met against hundreds of angels blocking my way. I slaughtered them all until the road was clear. But more reinforcements came and surrounded me.
If only I had magic this would've been easier. I went berserker, killing every enemy that tried to fight me. The bloodbath didn't take long and I continued my chase. But I couldn't find her anymore.
"Damn it!" I roared in anger and continued my slaughter against the angels that were still trying to fight me. I found myself fighting in the midst of thousands of soldiers. As they try to approach me, I hunt them down quickly before more could follow. I could see it… The fear in their eyes. They are scared. They are hesitating to make a move. After a long dance, I was standing on a mountain of corpses of my enemies that I killed. My body was covered with their blood, but my white hair stood out the most. And a powerful presence plummeted in front of me, pushing the small mountains of corpses I had made. I recognize him. He was one of the Rulers that was fighting against Kalgaron. Why is he here?
My question was answered when I saw in the corner of my eye Vivian and Kalgaron fighting on the air. Both were exchanging blows and magic with no intention of showing mercy at all. I shifted my gaze to the Ruler that was standing before me.
"How do you like my chains, princess?" He hissed. I finally found him.
"So you're the one who made these chains? Well, too bad because I'm going to kill you as a thank you gift." I said.
The Ruler crackled. "I'm not yet fully recovered, but this is perfect. Let's see if you can kill me." He said and before he could make a move, I was in front of him already. My fists met his face. I kept pounding him with my punches, making him spit out blood and breaking his nose. I kicked him away on his ribs and he flew far, hitting the pillars continuously until the force decreased. Before he could stand, I threw a large pillar above him, intending to crush him and finish him off so I could use my magic.
The smoke from the crash disappeared and I lost sight of him. Suddenly, a bright sword tried to slash my neck, but before it could slice me, I dodged the attack. I turned around and saw the Ruler charging with great speed towards me. Before I could move away, his sword pierced through my forearms as I tried to block and minimize the attack. He kept flying straight through the pillars, hitting my back so hard that I felt my spine crack. Then, the Ruler plummeted on the ground, using my back as a cushion. He pierced his sword deep to my flesh, causing me to scream in pain.
"That's right. Scream for me, princess." He said. His lips close to my ears. "Scream for your mother to hear." Suddenly, the pain was gone. It was instantly replaced with anger. The Ruler tried to remove his sword from my flesh, but I flexed my muscles hard enough for the blade to be stuck. I kicked him in his stomach to push him away from me. And I threw his sword at him while he was still off guard. However, he caught it with his palm. "That's not enough to kill me, princess."
I gritted my teeth not because of anger, but because of the severe pain I was experiencing. His sword left a huge gaping hole in my forearms and whenever I used my arms, they hurt like a bitch. But I endured the pain. I rejected the agony and let rage fill my heart. I slowly walked towards him, grinning from ear to ear.
"Getting excited?" He asked, doing the same thing as well.
"This is the first time someone has cornered me and made me experience pain." I said, my grin never disappearing. "Be glad you're the first."
The Ruler laughed. "I am grateful to be your first."
I never did this to any of my opponents before. But I will still introduce myself to him as an act of respect. It's true though. This is the first time I have ever met someone, other than the Black Dragon back then, who cornered me near death.
"I am Ashe. State your name. I would like to know it before I kill you." I said with pride.
He did the same thing too. "I am Luminous. It is an honor to hear my opponent's name before I finish them off."
Without saying anymore words, we resumed our fight.
