Newlyweds, Passion Unleashed

Huo Beiting's eyes burned crimson, his voice low and hoarse. "Exciting."

Fang Annie let out a coy laugh, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Without another word, Huo Beiting swept her into his arms. "Shower first."

Fang Annie clung to him, her lips tracing his neck with practiced expertise. This man was hers—always had been.

If Su Weiwei wanted to compete, she'd chosen the wrong opponent.

The sound of running water soon echoed in the bathroom.

Steam fogged up the frosted glass as the entwined couple indulged in their passionate embrace, the rushing water drowning out their breathy whispers and gasps.

An hour later.

On the sofa in the suite, Su Weiwei stirred, groaning as she pressed her fingers to her throbbing temples. "Beiting…" she murmured weakly.

No response.

Struggling to her feet, she stumbled toward the bathroom, drawn by the faint sounds beyond the door.

"Beiting!" she called out, her voice louder now, desperation breaking through the haze of her dizziness.

She reached the glass door and banged on it with a loud thud. Inside, the couple froze, startled.

"Beiting! Are you in there? Beiting!"

Her head was spinning, and her voice cracked with emotion.

Huo Beiting cleared his throat and responded, "I'm taking a shower."

"I want to shower too," Su Weiwei muttered groggily. "Let me in. Let's shower together!"

She fumbled with the door, attempting to pull it open.

With a swift motion, Huo Beiting slid the door open and, completely unbothered by his lack of clothing, scooped her up into his arms.

Without hesitation, he kissed her deeply, his fervor palpable.

"Beiting…" Su Weiwei whispered shyly, her cheeks flushing.

"Let's go to bed," he murmured, his voice low and magnetic.

Shielding her view with his broad shoulders, Huo Beiting carried her toward the bed, his kisses keeping her attention focused on him. Over his shoulder, his sharp gaze landed on Fang Annie, who was still standing near the bathroom door.

His silent signal was clear: Leave.

Though disgruntled, Fang Annie pulled on a towel and stormed out of the room.

Relieved but exhausted, Huo Beiting turned his full attention to Su Weiwei, who clung to him eagerly.

Outside the hotel room, Fang Annie seethed as she heard Su Weiwei's feigned squeals of delight through the walls.

If she weren't the daughter of a coal mine owner, what could Su Weiwei possibly use to compete with me? Fang Annie thought bitterly. Five billion in dowry? That's all she's got.

Her expression darkened as her hand brushed over her abdomen. This time, I didn't use protection. I'll make sure it happens.

Huo Beiting was the heir to the Huo family, and she wouldn't let such a golden opportunity slip away.

The next morning, at a small Huo family villa.

"Take care of yourself, young master," Aunt Qian said as she packed Huo Xingzhou's belongings. "Staying in the countryside might be good for you. The fresh air is perfect for recovery. Who knows? You might even walk again when you return."

"Thank you for your kind words," Huo Xingzhou replied with a faint smile.

Turning away, Aunt Qian wiped her tears. She knew the ridicule he faced in Haicheng and hoped he'd find peace away from the city.

Nearby, Qiao Xi placed her own suitcase beside his and carefully packed a bundle of golden needles. "We'll have Grandpa Cheng check your condition when we get back," she said firmly.

A car horn blared from outside.

"That's Young Master Zhou!" Aunt Qian exclaimed. "I'll bring the luggage out."

Zhou Yu entered, taking the bags from Aunt Qian with ease. "I've got it!"

After a few minutes of bustling around, everything was loaded into the trunk.

As Qiao Xi and Huo Xingzhou settled into the car, Aunt Qian watched them go with reluctant eyes.

"Let's pick up Grandma from the hospital first," Huo Xingzhou instructed coolly.

Zhou Yu chuckled. "You're good at giving orders, aren't you?"

Turning the steering wheel, he added, "By the way, the whole young master crowd in Haicheng went wild last night. Their social feeds are full of snide remarks about you—saying you've lost your mind and given up on yourself. Except for Sun Weimeng; he had your back."

"You're enjoying this, aren't you?" Huo Xingzhou's tone turned cold.

"Not at all! I'm mourning for them," Zhou Yu replied with exaggerated sincerity. "Check your phone. I sent you something."

Huo Xingzhou glanced at his screen, his brows furrowing at the explicit images.

"Caught a glimpse of Huo Beiting's extracurriculars last night. Scandalous, huh?" Zhou Yu smirked. "Didn't expect him to still be fooling around. He left the hotel this morning with Su Weiwei. Two women in one night. Impressive, isn't it?"

"Overreaching," Huo Xingzhou remarked tersely.

"The higher he climbs, the harder he'll fall," Zhou Yu laughed, clearly enjoying the drama.

Later that day, the car arrived at Qiao Xi's hometown. The peaceful village welcomed them with fresh air and curious neighbors.

As the sun set, Zhou Yu leaned against the car and said to Huo Xingzhou, his tone serious, "Half a month from now, I'm expecting you to make a stunning comeback."

"Count on it," Huo Xingzhou replied calmly, his eyes steady.

Zhou Yu leaned closer, lowering his voice. "I know you don't make moves without a plan. Your legs… is it true?"

Their eyes met, and a flicker of something dark passed through Huo Xingzhou's gaze. He didn't deny it.

Zhou Yu grinned, pointing to the small brick house nearby. "With Dr. Cheng here, I'm sure you'll recover fully—every part of you. Newlyweds, after all, should be insatiable."

Pulling out a discreet package, he pressed it into Huo Xingzhou's hand with a sly smile. "The countryside is remote. Be prepared."
