Moment

Several events happened so quickly while Vin, Renz, and Jeannie were at the stall.

Unknown Woman's Voice:

"Is he really going to do it?"

Unknown Man's Voice:

"As per the path he has chosen."

Unknown Woman's Voice:

"What do you mean?"

Unknown Man's Voice:

"As per the stage he has written."

Vin, Renz, and Jeannie walked out of the Warung Padang, their stomachs full after enjoying the food served earlier.

Jeannie: "Hey, Vin. Answer me! What did you mean back there!?" (Her voice was irritated by Vin's answer at the stall.)

Renz: "Just forget it, Jeannie. Vin doesn't seem like he wants to talk about it." (Renz glanced at Jeannie, his tone casual.)

They walked together, with Renz and Jeannie following Vin's steps, not knowing where he was leading them.

Jeannie: "Please, just give me an answer, Vin." (She looked at Vin, her voice filled with frustration.)

Jeannie fell silent as she watched Vin. The lively city noise surrounded them, yet her gaze shifted when Vin didn't respond.

Jeannie: "I don't like being ignored like this..." (She lowered her head slightly, her voice soft and sorrowful.)

Vin heard the sudden change in Jeannie's tone, but he kept walking, following his intuition.

Renz let out a sigh. He could never quite understand how Vin thought.

Renz: "Vin, come on. Just give her a little answer." (His tone carried a hint of annoyance.)

Vin: "Just follow me. I'll explain everything once we get to our destination." (He kept walking, his gaze fixed ahead, his tone cold.)

Renz: "Sorry, Jeannie. Vin has always been like this." (He turned toward Jeannie.)

Jeannie looked at Renz with sad eyes, her gaze shimmering as if she was about to cry.

Jeannie: "Why...?" (Her voice was weak as she questioned Renz.)

Renz: "I don't know, but I'm sure Vin has his reasons." (He looked at Jeannie before shifting his gaze to Vin.)

Vin: "Enough. We should be there soon. I'll explain later." (His sharp eyes locked onto a massive tree in the city's center.)

The Rama Tree, a solitary giant standing tall and firm in the heart of the city. Reaching about 132 meters in height, its dense foliage provided shade to the surrounding area. Many people rested beneath its branches as the sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating a breathtaking scene.

Vin, Renz, and Jeannie reached the end of the street leading to the Rama Tree. They stood still, admiring its magnificence.

Vin: "You should have noticed this tree as soon as we arrived in the city." (He stopped walking, his gaze fixed on the tree.)

Renz's face lit up with awe as he took in the sight before him.

Vin: "Jen, are you still upset?" (He asked Jeannie, his expression neutral.)

Jeannie looked at Vin with sad eyes.

Jeannie: "Can you at least give me some kind of answer? Even just a little... I'll be okay with that." (Her eyes glistened as she gazed at Vin.)

Vin exhaled softly. He looked up at the sky for a moment before shifting his gaze back to Jeannie.

Vin: "I'll explain everything, slowly. Let's rest under that tree first." (He extended his right hand toward Jeannie.)

Jeannie's eyes lowered to Vin's hand. She noticed the scars left by his sword training.

She placed her left hand over her chest, a soft smile forming on her lips. Then, she gently took Vin's hand.

Vin was slightly surprised by Jeannie's sudden shift in demeanor. Even so, he responded with a faint smile of his own.

Jeannie: "Vin..." (Her gentle, warm gaze locked onto him.)

Vin: "Don't get the wrong idea. I'm just trying to apologize for ignoring you." (His voice was soft.)

Jeannie: "Why all of a sudden, Vin?" (She asked, her tone gentle.)

Vin: "Because we've finally reached the perfect place for this moment." (His gaze softened as he looked into Jeannie's eyes.)

Suddenly, time stopped. Silence filled the air.

Writer:

"I don't like this."

Unknown Woman's Voice:

"Why?"

Unknown Man's Voice:

"Because he is the one who writes this stage."

Writer:

"Vin Crimson, this is not the fate I have written for you."
