The Awakening of the Fire Golden Dragon

The sun had barely risen, and the southeastern region's cool breeze carried the scent of morning dew as the news of my selection at Quenzhi Academy spread across the village.

The honor of being admitted to such a prestigious institution was overwhelming, but my thoughts were firmly set on a promise—a promise I made to my master.

"Master," I whispered as I walked toward the secluded forest trail, "when I become strong, I will refine your body as soon as possible."

From within the spiritual connection we shared, his familiar voice echoed, laced with amusement and warmth.

'Why does he need a body for "?

Before I could reply, a soft chuckle reverberated in my mind, and I felt a knock on my head through our bond.

"Idiot. Why do I need a body? I need it to go back to heaven. I'll help you on the way, of course, but don't think this is just about me."

"Heaven?" I muttered, intrigued yet determined.

"I will go with you. I guess you'll need help, and I'm willing to do anything for you since you've done everything for me."

The bond between master and disciple deepened in that moment.

His usual gruffness softened, and I could feel his pride and gratitude radiating through the connection.

For the first time, I thought I caught a glimpse of my master's vulnerability—a rare tear and a faint smile.

The moment was short-lived, however, as the academy's admission process loomed closer.

We have to gather herbs to refine the air elemental core pills to level my air elemental core, a critical step for enhancing my spiritual realm.

This core, once strengthened, would fortify my soul realm and allow me to advance further in cultivation.

The task was straightforward yet time-sensitive, and I wasted no time.

While meticulously plucking herbs from the sacred grounds near the village, I heard familiar footsteps.

"Congratulations on winning the arena," a gentle yet firm voice called out.

Turning, I saw Bao approaching, her expression a mix of happiness and something deeper.

"You were really something else during the fight. I was impressed," she continued, though her voice faltered slightly

. "Perhaps... you're now leaving for the academy."

Her tone carried a tinge of sadness, and her usually bright eyes seemed clouded.

I hesitated, unsure how to comfort her.

"I will go under training only for a few years," I said, choosing my words carefully.

"After that, I'll return as a stronger man, back to the village. For now, I have a lot to do."

Before I could say more, she suddenly embraced me. Her intense warmth caught me off guard, and my face turned crimson.

"Brother Yin," she whispered, her voice trembling, "I hope you won't forget me.

If one day I become strong, I'll come to Quenzhi Academy to find you."

Her sincerity struck a chord in me, and I responded earnestly, "I will always remember you, no matter what. I'll come back for you when I become strong."

We held each other under the golden rays of the rising sun, the serene landscape of Blood Air Village framing our shared moment.

Birds chirped softly, and the dew-covered leaves sparkled as though mirroring our emotions.

As we parted, our eyes met, and we kissed—a tender yet powerful exchange under the vast expanse of the sky.

Just as the tranquil moment ended, a sudden disturbance shook my soul realm.

The air elemental core within me began to waver, its energy fluxing uncontrollably.

Bao, concerned, asked, "What's happening?"

I could barely contain the turmoil.

"I need to go. It's urgent."

Without further explanation, I left the village, running toward the nearest secluded spot—a hidden cave I had discovered during my training.

"Master," I called out breathlessly, "what's happening to the egg?"

His tone was unusually calm yet laced with a gravity that sent shivers down my spine.

"A new life form is coming. The beginning of a new dragon's life—it is hatching."

The revelation struck me like a thunderclap.

"We should hide somewhere where no one can see us," he continued. "If anything happens to your body, I will intervene."

"Body?" The thought of dying because of the hatching egg terrified me.

Panic surged through me as we entered the cave, its damp and shadowy interior offering temporary solace.

I muttered bitterly to myself, earning a sharp laugh from my master.

The cave grew darker as ominous clouds gathered above it in a circular formation.

Thunder rumbled in the distance, and the air crackled with energy.

The egg within my soul realm pulsed, radiating heat and light, as though the dragon inside were testing the boundaries of its new world.

All at once, the sky ignited.

Flames erupted from the clouds, spiraling in a chaotic yet mesmerizing dance.

The sheer magnitude of the energy was awe-inspiring.

"If this is just the beginning of the dragon's power," I whispered, trembling, "I can't imagine how powerful it will become when fully grown."

My master's voice cut through the storm, steady and full of knowledge.

"This is no ordinary dragon. It's a Fire Golden Dragon—one of the most revered mythical creatures in existence.

In Chinese mythology, we call them Chin Long and Jin Long dragons, heralds of fire and emblems of imperial power and supreme authority.

Such a being's lineage is sacred and unparalleled."

I was stunned. "Fire Golden Dragon? But… Why is it in my soul realm?"

My master's tone softened, as if explaining to a child

"Perhaps its parents, mighty Chin Long and Jin Long dragons, entrusted their progeny to you. Or perhaps it was fate—an inexplicable bond tying you to its destiny.

These dragons are not merely creatures of fire and might; they represent the balance of power, destiny, and creation.

Nurture it well, and it may become your greatest ally—or the harbinger of unimaginable chaos."

As his words sank in, the egg shattered within my soul realm.

A brilliant golden-red light filled the cave, its radiance spilling into the physical world.

A tiny dragon emerged, its scales shimmering like molten gold, its eyes brimming with an ancient, otherworldly wisdom.

The baby dragon coiled around my spiritual essence, radiating warmth and comfort.

Despite its size, I could sense its immense power—a force of nature that could shape worlds.

"Master, can you understand its language?" I asked, marveling at the creature's presence.

"You'll need to reach the second level of cultivation to comprehend its speech," he replied. "But its emotions are clear—it sees you as its kin, its protector."

The dragon chirped softly, its voice resonating in my soul. I felt an unbreakable bond forming, one that transcended words.

The storm outside began to subside, and a profound stillness fell over the cave.

Yet, this was only the beginning.

The Fire Golden Dragon's arrival heralded a new chapter in my journey—one fraught with challenges, revelations, and an uncharted path to power.
