WALKER HOUSE
Nick and Zach reached their house carrying the little girl in their arms. Zach rang the bell and door was opened by their mom as it was her day off. Katherine was shocked to see her boys come home carrying a little girl in their arms.
"What happened?" Katherine asked nervously.
"Let us in first, mom." Nick said with a sigh seeing his mom upset.
They both walked in and nick put her on the sofa and told his mom
"Mom, get her something to wear and make something hot. She must be feeling cold. Let me call dad. It's better if he is here." Nick said to his mom as he took out his phone to call his father.
RING RING
"Hey, son, how was boy's night out?" Jon asked in a joyful tone.
"Dad, can you come home fast? We have a problem." Nick asked in a serious tone.
"Yeah, I will come now." Jon said seriously, hang up the call and started his police cruiser and drove towards his home.
Nick turned to see his mom was in the room dressing her up while Zach was preparing hot milk in the kitchen. Nick went to help him waiting for mom to come out of the room.
"Tell me what happened?" Katherine walked out of the room as she gently closed the door to let the girl rest and asked seriously in a stern tone.
"Well, we found her in the preserve. She was in the form of a fully turned wolf. I helped her turn back. After turning back to human, she fell unconscious." Nick said recounting the events that took place in the forest except for their drinking.
"Is your father coming?" Katherine asked
"Yes, he said that he will reach in about ten minutes." Nick replied seriously.
"Okay, we will discuss what to do about her when he comes but before did you forget to mention something." Katherine asked as she popped her knuckles.
"Nope, we said everything that happened." Nick replied feigning ignorance.
"Oh, did you now?" Katherine walked to garage and came back with a silver stick and Nick started panicking seeing his mother angry and tried to calm her down as he asks in distress and uneasy tone
"Mom, we live in a civilized society. Whatever you want to discuss, we can sit down and talk."
"Yeah, I gave you a chance but you lied. Now, let's see how much beating can your werewolf ass take." Katherine said angrily as she swung the silver stick toward Nick's ass in precise arc.
"OW…OW…OW…Mom, I am sorry. Can you stop please?" Nick begged to his mother to stop the beatings while Zach watched the show in relish.
"What did I say last time? Don't let your brother drink." Katherine questioned angrily.
"I am sorry. It won't happen again." Nick promised her rubbing his ass as he gave a scornful and an angry glare at Zach who was enjoying the show and asked in fury
"Why do you always beat me? He is the one who drank."
"You are the big brother. It's your job to stop him." Katherine said in a bland and matter of fact tone.
As Nick was about to rebuke back, they heard a sound of car pulling up in the porch. Zach got up and opened the door to let dad in. Jon who walked in saw his wife holding a silver stick and silently prayed for his Nick's safety and asked them without even acknowledging the stick in wife's hand.
"What is the problem?"
"Well, your two great sons, went out for an outing, drank and then brought back a little girl from the forest." Katherine said in angry tone.
"What little girl?" Jon conveniently avoided the drinks topic and asked about the girl as his wife gave him a glare.
"You should ask your drunk sons." Katherine said in a huff and went back to the room to check on the girl.
Jon gave an awkward smile at his wife's antics and asked his sons
"What girl?"
"Dad, we found a werewolf in the forest who has turned itself into a complete wolf. Nick turned her back and we brought her here. It was so cool. He just stood before her and howled at her in a commanding, werewolf bonding way. And poof, she magically turned back to her human form." Zach replied dramatically to his dad's questioning.
"You should have brought her to police station or some orphanage." Jon said with a heavy sigh.
"And then what? If she was a normal girl, it would be alright. But she is werewolf. What do you think will happen during the next full moon?" Nick questioned back.
Jon knew what his son said was true and then he asked after a sigh
"So, what do you want to do?"
"Let's adopt her." Nick said with a smile.
"Son, what if she has family?" Jon asked back
"Let's think about that when we find them." Nick replied.
"Let's do it, Jon." Katherine said as she walked out of the room and Jon looked at her as he saw her yearning for a daughter. He looked at her for a few moments and said with a sigh
"Okay, let me check about her details and then we it all pans out, then we will apply for the adoption process."
Jon took her photo and went to the station to look into the details while rest of family prepared dinner.
MORNING, NEXT DAY, WALKER HOUSE
"Jon, did you find about the girl?" Katherine asked while she took a bite of the food as Zach and Nick perked up hear about the girl.
"Not much. Just her name. Luna and she went missing from the Elpis orphanage 6 years ago." Jon replied in disappointment for the little girl.
"So, what's the plan?" Katherine asked curiously.
"Well, I have to file a report of finding her and then take her to orphanage. After that, we can proceed with adoption process. Let's do this. Take leave today. We will both go today and start the process. Faster it is done, better it will be the little girl." Jon said with a heavy sigh.
"Okay." Katherine replied in an ecstatic voice.
NIGHT, NEXT DAY, BOWLING ALLEY, BEACON HILLS
A dodge challenger pulled up in front of the bowling alley. Nick and Beth got out of the car and walked into the alley. Jackson, Scott, Lydia and Allison had already reached. Allison and Scott were checking the weight the ball while Jackson and Lydia were sitting on a wooden bench.
"You really look like you know what you are doing." Scott asks in a nervous and guilty tone.
"Used to bowl with my dad. When was the last time you bowled?" Allison asks back with a smile.
"Uh, at a birthday party…" Scott replies as Allison smiles and walks to alley with ball while Scott continues to say to himself in a quieter voice "When I was eight."
Nick and Beth walked towards their side and greets them as they sat down on a wooden bench.
"So, how do we play?" Nick asks Jackson with a playful grin tugging at his lips.
"Well, each of us take three shots and the team with highest score wins." Jackson says with confidence and arrogance.
"Is three chance enough? Don't go crying to your daddy after losing." Nick said with a smug smile teasing Jackson.
"Let the score talk, Walker." Jackson replied with arrogant and smug grin while Scott was sweating profusely thinking how bad he was at bowling.
Jackson took the ball and let Lydia have the first two shots. He hugged her from behind and supported her hand from behind as she shoots the ball. First ball went into the gutter while the second one scored three points.
Next was Allison, she shot straight through all the pins as everyone rejoiced at the perfect throw. Then she continued to throw two more perfect shots taking out all the pins.
"Somebody bought their A-game." Lydia said with a smile
"Nice shot." Beth said with a great smile.
Next up, Jackson got up and took shot. He also shot the ball through all the pins. An then he continues give two more shots which hits all the pins perfectly.
"Whoo! Yes!" Lydia said joyfully as she jumped with both her hands ups
Jackson came back and sat with a smug grin while Nick said
"Good shot but were you trying to be a ballet while taking the shot. No, scratch that, comparing your form to ballet is an insult to all great ballerinas." Nick mocked him for his awkward posture.
"I got the shot. Who cares about form. I am not participating for Olympics. And you should score what I scored before mocking me." Jackson replied with an arrogant tone then he continued to say
"You are up, McCall." As he and Lydia both turned and stared at Scott.
Scott got up and took his ball as Allison said trying to calm his nerves
"You can do it, Scott."
He stood in front of the alley, took a deep breath and took a long swing as he threw the ball. The ball halfway and went into the gutter.
Jackson started laughed out loud and Allison irritated at his mocking says
"Jackson? Mind shutting up?"
"I am sorry, I am sorry. I am just flashing back to the words 'I am a great bowler.'"
Hearing this, Nick also starts laughing as Allison starts getting irritated increasing as she says
"Maybe he needs a little warm-up."
Jackson and Nick continue to laugh while Jackson says
"Yeah, maybe he just needs the kiddy bumpers."
Lydia and Beth also join to laugh to the joke Jackson says. Allison irritated at their jokes advises Scott
"Just aim for the middle."
"How about you aim anything except for the gutter?" Jackson mock advises him.
"Let him concentrate." Allison says sharply
Scott sighs heavily as he mutters to himself
"Come one, just one pin, please." Scott takes the shot again as the ball rolled towards the pins, just missing the pins before falling into gutter.
"Oh!" Jackson expresses a mock disappointment and continues to laugh as he said
"Great job, McCall. You are a pro." Jackson mocks him again as Scott sits on the bench.
"Don't worry. We just started." Allison comforts him as Beth gets up to shoot.
Beth takes the ball and aims as she shoots the ball in perfect form. It hits the pins perfectly and then she continues to complete her next two shots also perfectly.
"That's my girl." Nick said joyfully as he hi-fied with Beth with a broad smile.
"Well, it's your turn walker. Try to not aim like McCall." Jackson mocks him together with Scott.
"Well, that's where you are wrong, Whittemore. When I come to play, I dominate." Nick said with a smug smile as he took the ball and threw it three times. Every time, it took down pins perfectly. Beth jumped up joyfully as she jumped into in my hands and kissed me hard on my lips. She hung onto me as we turned to them and gave a smug smile as we sat on the bench with Beth leaning onto me.
Scott got up to try his final shot as he took the ball and stood in front of the Lane. He was trying to adjust himself to top form to try a perfect throw to not embarrass Allison. Allison seeing his difficulty stood behind up and said
"Scott, you are thinking too much."
"I know, I am sorry, I am ruining this." Scott said in an upset tone.
"No, not at all, but I wouldn't mind shutting them up. So, just clear your head and think about something else." Allison said fed up with their mocking.
"Like what?" Scott questions
"Anything. Think about me. Naked." Allison said with a flirty smile as she goes back.
Scott perks up hearing that and focuses on the pins, picturing her and then shoots. The ball perfectly hits the pins as Allison jumps up in celebration while Jackson ego takes a hit as it deflated. Allison stared at them with smug smile while Lydia asks
"What did you say to him?"
"I just gave him something to think about." Allison replies with a bright smile.
"Yeah, it was a great motivator." Nicks says hearing what Allison said and trying hard to not think about it as he cursed his super hearing. Everybody looks at him weirdly as he tries to laugh it off.
"You are up, Lydia." Beth says.
Lydia gets ups and takes the ball as she smiled in a flirty way at Scott asking him
"Scott, do you want to give me something to think about." Nick chokes on his drink when he hears how boldly Lydia asked that. Scott looked at her weirdly as he said
"No, you are good. Go for it."
Lydia failing in her attempt to get his help, huffs and takes the ball and walks towards the lane.
"Hey, I will help." Jackson offers his help.
"How about I try this on my own?" Lydia rejects his help as she turns and shoots herself. She swings in a perfect form and throws the ball as it hits all the pins. While Jackson looks at her dumbstruck.
She came back and sat in confidence like a queen. Allison and Beth share a knowing look as Allison says
"That was sort of perfect form."
"Was it?" Lydia asks back acting like an idiot.
Allison and Beth leans to say secretly
"Maybe you should stop pretending to suck for his benefit."
"Trust me, I do plenty of sucking just for his benefit." Lydia replies as Allison and Beth smiles at the double meaning.
