As Molly's hand made contact with the warehouse door, the metal door vibrated at an almost imperceptible frequency, a sharp, high-pitched hum emanating from within! The next moment, several terrifying cracks appeared on the surface of the door. Molly withdrew her hand, turned, and delivered a powerful kick. The shattered door split into several pieces and collapsed with a loud crash! Amidst the dust, Molly dusted off her hands, expressionless, and walked into the warehouse.
"Such destructive power," Lin QiYe's gaze fell on the scattered metal debris, and he murmured while rubbing his chin.
Outside the door, Bai Li Pao Pao's eyes were fixed on Molly's back as he swallowed nervously.
"What's wrong with you?" Lin QiYe noticed his strange expression and asked in confusion.
"QiYe..." Bai Li Pao Pao leaned in close to Lin QiYe's ear and whispered, "Don't you think... she's really cool?"
"..."
Lin QiYe rolled his eyes, clearly not interested in continuing the conversation, and walked straight to the weapon rack in the warehouse, casually picking up a standard-issue straight blade.
Before coming to the training camp, Chen Muye had warned them not to bring weapons unless necessary, so he had left Zhao Kongcheng's sword at Hong Ying's house. Thankfully, these standard-issue weapons for Nightwatchers were available in the warehouse in abundance.
While picking up the sword, Lin QiYe kept an eye on Molly's actions with his mental power.
To his surprise, the woman didn't even glance at the weapons on the racks, but instead walked straight to the farthest corner of the warehouse. There, she pulled out a massive katana, slung it over her back, and turned to leave.
"Not many people use a katana," Lin QiYe said calmly as she passed by him.
Molly paused for a moment, gave Lin QiYe a glance, and replied coldly, "I like this one. Any problem?"
Lin QiYe turned to face her, locking eyes, and extended his right hand.
"I'm Lin QiYe."
"Oh." Molly responded indifferently, showing no intention of shaking his hand.
Lin QiYe narrowed his eyes.
"Super-high-risk forbidden ruins?" he asked.
"Why should I tell you?" she replied.
"Don't you want to win?"
"Will telling you help me win? Who do you think you are?"
"In the five members of [Mask], at least three are super-high-risk forbidden ruins, and their coordination is incredibly tight. If the super-high-risk ones here don't unite, we have no chance of victory," Lin QiYe said calmly.
Molly furrowed her brows, looking at Lin QiYe in surprise. "You're also a super-high-risk?"
"No." Lin QiYe shook his head, and just as Molly was about to turn and leave, he added slowly, "I'm the agent of the Seraph."
Molly's footsteps suddenly halted!
She turned, her eyes filled with shock. "You're a divine agent?"
"Yes."
Molly studied Lin QiYe for a moment. After a brief hesitation, she spoke softly:
"Forbidden ruins sequence 076, [Myriad Frequencies in Motion]. I can control the vibration frequencies of any object within the forbidden ruins range that directly or indirectly contacts me."
Lin QiYe raised an eyebrow, quickly recalling how she had easily broken the door earlier. He nodded slightly. "Impressive... no wonder you use a katana."
Just then, Bai Li Pao Pao rushed over, clearing his throat. He stretched out his hand toward Molly, looking serious.
"Hello, Miss Molly. I'm Bai Li Tu Ming, born in an ordinary family in Guangshen City..."
Molly suddenly frowned, shooting Bai Li Pao Pao a disgusted look. With a cold snort, she turned and walked out of the warehouse.
"I can't stand people like you, rich kids... I warn you, stay away from me!"
Bai Li Pao Pao froze for a moment, quickly speaking up. "No, I'm not a rich kid! I really come from an ordinary family..."
"Where's your weapon?" Lin QiYe noticed that Bai Li Pao Pao had nothing in his hands and asked in confusion.
"I don't know how to use any weapons, so I didn't bring one."
"..."
Lin QiYe remained silent for a moment, then patted Bai Li Pao Pao on the shoulder. "Here's my advice: find a place where no one is around and hide there... Wait until the battle is over and come out, so you don't get beaten up."
Bai Li Pao Pao shook his head resolutely. "No! I'm not going to be a turtle hiding in its shell! I want to fight!"
"..." Lin QiYe shook his head and walked toward the warehouse exit. "Do as you wish. If it makes you happy."
By now, more and more soldiers were entering the warehouse to collect their equipment. As Lin QiYe and Bai Li Pao Pao exited, they saw Molly, with her katana on her back, leaning against the wall, seemingly waiting for something.
"What are you waiting for?" Lin QiYe walked up to her and asked.
"Waiting for you," Molly replied calmly. "If I'm not mistaken, there's another super-high-risk person."
"Who?"
"The man who was the first to stand up against the commander earlier. Do you remember him?"
"Are you talking about that guy with his military hat off, jacket open, chewing gum, and looking all cocky?" Bai Li Pao Pao recalled, interrupting.
"I remember him," Lin QiYe nodded as well.
"If we can get him..."
Clang—!!
Before Molly could finish, Lin QiYe's pupils suddenly constricted. In a flash, he drew his straight blade and swung it toward Molly's back!
Clang—!
A sharp, crisp sound of collision rang out. Molly reacted incredibly fast, flipping forward, landing on her feet, and her right hand gripped the katana's hilt!
In the void, a short sword flickered, and Lin QiYe's straight blade was locked against the short sword's edge!
Lin QiYe's gaze remained fixed on the void in front of him, his expression growing increasingly serious.
A man wearing a crescent-moon mask slowly emerged from the nothingness.
He reversed his grip on the short sword and looked at Lin QiYe in surprise. "You can see me?"
"By chance," Lin QiYe replied flatly.
The YueGui stared into Lin QiYe's eyes, and after a moment, he seemed to realize something. "I get it now. You're the agent of the Seraph. Your aura is very similar to that of the captain..."
Behind Lin QiYe, Molly's expression was full of anger. If Lin QiYe hadn't blocked the assassination just now, she would likely have been eliminated without understanding why.
Thinking about that, her anger flared. She suddenly drew the katana from her back, and the blade vibrated with an overwhelming frequency!
Lin QiYe's straight blade deflected the YueGui's short sword. Without hesitation, he jumped backward.
The next moment, Molly swung her katana!
Swish—!!
The air in front of the blade violently trembled, and then a terrifying shockwave shot forward from the blade, cutting through the ground and crashing into the warehouse wall, leaving a gaping, jagged mark! Thick dust billowed outward, and where the crack appeared, YueGui stood quietly, his right arm now missing.
"Indeed, a dangerous forbidden ruin..."
The YueGui spoke in a faint tone, as the dim moonlight in the air surged, soon solidifying into a new arm.
