Chapter 82: Hurry and Strike Me!

"With his own Superpower and that forbidden item, his combat strength far exceeds the threshold of the Sentry Realm. He could probably take on all 239 of us new recruits alone," Mo Li said, her face looking grim.

"This time, we have no chance of winning."

"Not necessarily," BaiLi PoPo said, patting his stomach and grinning.

Lin QiYe asked, "You have a plan?"

"His *Yi Yuan* was a gift from my family, so naturally, I have ways to limit it," BaiLi PoPo replied, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a roll of tape.

"This is the forbidden item *Seal of Binding*, sequence 343. If we apply a section of it to the blade, it will completely isolate the sword from the environment. That way, the time-based Superpower from Wang Mian won't affect it, and its power will be reduced to that of an ordinary sword."

Lin QiYe took the tape, his eyes narrowing in surprise as he glanced at BaiLi PoPo's pocket.

"You're carrying this around? Did you know Wang Mian was coming?"

BaiLi PoPo chuckled but didn't answer. Seeing that he wasn't going to elaborate, Lin QiYe didn't press further. He lowered his head, staring at the tape in his hand, his eyes flickering.

"As long as we can seal that sword, we still have hope..."

...

Boom—!

Boom—!!

Boom—!!!

Explosions echoed through the ruins as figures rushed in from all directions toward the masked squad. Blinding flashes of fire burst out one after another!

The dormitory building had collapsed, but not all of the new recruits had been forced out of the fight. Most of those still standing were talented individuals from all over, having protected themselves from the chaos with relative ease.

"Shen Ge, Shen Ge! Are you okay?" a new recruit staggered out of the rubble, shouting at a nearby figure.

The next moment, the heavy wall beside him shattered with a loud crash. Covered in dust, Shen Qingzhu climbed out, coughing twice.

"I'm fine... What the hell was that? Could that kind of attack really have come from the Sentry Realm?" Shen Qingzhu's gaze shifted to the masked squad fighting with the other recruits in the distance, his face darkening.

"Shen Ge, there are probably about thirty people left who can still fight. Should we go in?"

"Of course!" Shen Qingzhu spat, tossing aside the military hat on his head. His expression turned fierce.

"The ambush is gone, so we'll go head-to-head! I don't believe they can last much longer after all this time."

With that, a whirlwind erupted beneath his feet, and he sped toward the chaotic battlefield.

"Vortex, that troublesome guy is coming," YueGui said, knocking out two new recruits with the hilt of his short sword. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Shen Qingzhu rushing toward them and called out to Vortex.

"Why are you calling me?"

"My Superpower isn't suited to fighting him. You go."

"Tch, always bossing me around."

Vortex muttered but turned to meet the charging Shen Qingzhu head-on.

The two figures closed the gap quickly, and then, a violent explosion of air rang out as a series of dazzling purple whirlpools exploded, the two clashing fiercely.

...

Tian Ping clapped his hands, and the shattered stones around him began to float, flying toward the new recruits charging at him from all directions, quickly overwhelming them.

Just as he prepared to continue his long-range assault, a head suddenly poked up from the rubble beneath him.

Tian Ping's expression changed. Without hesitation, he retreated several steps.

With a flick of his fingers, sharp stones surrounded the figure, trapping them completely.

"Interesting. You actually set up an ambush for me?" Tian Ping squinted his eyes.

The figure slowly rose from the rubble, dusting himself off, revealing the youthful face of a handsome young man.

He held a sword and calmly shook his head. "I didn't set an ambush. I was just resting in the building when it collapsed... And when I crawled out, I saw you."

Tian Ping: ...

Cao Yuan glanced around, lightly touching the nearby rubble with his fingers, nodding.

"Not bad. Eliminate me."

Tian Ping froze. "What did you say?"

"Eliminate me."

"...You don't want to resist at all?"

"It's pointless," Cao Yuan shrugged, still holding the sword. "And I'm afraid that if I resist, you won't be able to handle it."

He paused, then added, "…None of you will be able to handle it."

"…Are you looking down on me?" Tian Ping said with a laugh. "You're just a new recruit, and you have quite the attitude... You think you can kill me?"

Cao Yuan scratched his chin, thinking seriously for a moment, then nodded.

"Maybe I can."

"Oh?" Tian Ping's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Then go ahead and try."

"I won't." Cao Yuan immediately shook his head. "Once I draw my sword, I won't be able to control it. I don't want to kill anymore."

With that, Cao Yuan threw his sword on the ground, clasped his hands together, and bowed his head devoutly.

"…No, you have to try!" Tian Ping, now completely curious, urged.

"I won't."

"Try! It won't hurt you! I promise, you won't be able to hurt me!"

"I can't take the risk."

"…Come on! Hurry up and draw your sword! Strike me!"

"Amitabha."

"…"

Tian Ping was about to say something when his expression suddenly changed. He swiftly floated back several meters.

A terrifying shockwave roared past, splitting the ground beneath him, sending debris flying into the air, only to be frozen in place by a strange force.

Tian Ping furrowed his brows and looked to his right. With a flick of his fingers, the floating stones shot out like arrows!

Not far away, Mo Li, holding her large sword, stomped the ground. An invisible shockwave exploded from her, shattering all the airborne debris.

"Eh? It's that big sister." A nearby recruit wielding a massive hammer noticed Mo Li confronting Tian Ping, his eyes lighting up.

He immediately abandoned the recruits he was facing, grabbed the hammer, and charged toward Mo Li!

"Tian Ping, leave this big sister to me!"

Rose's eyes gleamed as she stared at Mo Li, like she had just found a rare treasure. Her hammer rapidly grew in size, swirling with wind as it crashed toward Mo Li!

Mo Li's eyes flashed with murderous intent. Gripping her sword tightly, she met the hammer head-on!

Boom—!!

At the same time, Lin QiYe appeared, rushing to Cao Yuan's back, grabbing his collar and pulling him swiftly away from Tian Ping.

Cao Yuan snapped back to reality and grabbed Lin QiYe's wrist, halting their movement.

"What are you doing?" Cao Yuan frowned.

"Of course, I'm taking you out of here." Lin QiYe replied calmly. "Do you really think you can beat him?"

"I'm not trying to win. I just want to be eliminated sooner."

"…"

Lin QiYe rolled his eyes. After finally entering the arena and saving his first person, he realized the guy was just an apathetic oddball who wanted to quit...

"Oh, do as you like." Lin QiYe shot a cold remark and turned to move toward other battles.

"QiYe! QiYe!! There's someone I can't pull out of the rubble!" BaiLi PoPo shouted as he tugged a new recruit half-trapped in the wreckage.

Upon hearing this, Cao Yuan, who was about to turn back and look for Tian Ping, froze!

"QiYe, QiYe…?" He murmured under his breath.
