Chapter 177: The Vanishing Warehouse

The scene before him was so bizarre that Lin QiYe wasn't sure if it was his imagination or not. After the mummy swallowed an AK47, it seemed… to have grown a little taller?

Not satisfied after swallowing one gun, the mummy grabbed a grenade launcher with its left hand and a standard-issue Star Blade with its right, continuing to stuff them into its mouth.

By the time Lin QiYe snapped out of it, the mummy had already devoured five assault rifles, two submachine guns, three grenades, a grenade launcher, and several Star Blades...

And it had visibly grown two centimeters taller.

"Wait!" Lin QiYe quickly grabbed the mummy, which was about to swallow an RPG rocket launcher, and said with a headache, "What are we going to do if the instructors find out you've eaten all the weapons here?"

The mummy tilted its head, confused, as if it didn't understand what Lin QiYe was saying.

Lin QiYe sighed. Although the mummy was his summon, it didn't mean its intelligence was on the same level as his. The mummy in front of him… didn't seem too bright.

"Can you at least show me what you can do after eating all these weapons?" Lin QiYe asked curiously.

The mummy nodded, stepping back a couple of steps. Its bandages suddenly shifted, and pitch-black gun barrels began to extend from its body—some long, some short—disorganized but covering its entire form.

At the same time, two Star Blades extended from its palms. The bandages around its waist twisted to reveal grenades, which wrapped around it like a skirt. The bandages on its shoulders surged, and a grenade launcher suddenly mounted itself on its shoulder, ready to fire.

In the blink of an eye, the harmless-looking mummy transformed into a walking war fortress, with heavy artillery mounted on its shoulder, grenades on its waist, and guns all over its body!

Lin QiYe's jaw dropped in shock.

"So its power is turning the weapons it eats into its own strength… No wonder it's called the War Mummy," Lin QiYe muttered.

As long as it ate enough weapons, it could become an immortal war fortress on the battlefield, suppressing entire armies with firearms, solving any issues related to firepower shortages.

And these were just regular weapons. If it ate a nuclear bomb… would it turn into a Nuclear Mummy?!

Lin QiYe could already imagine the mummy eating a nuclear bomb, hopping to a base, and then a mushroom cloud rising…

Wait a minute!

Lin QiYe suddenly remembered the desert where he found the mummy. Not far from there, there was a massive crater caused by an explosion. Could that have been its doing?!

But did it have such strong survival abilities?

From the information Lin QiYe gathered from the mummy's mind, it had an incredibly powerful survival ability, though he wasn't sure just how powerful. But since it was a mummy, it probably wasn't easy to kill, right?

No wonder his summoning magic instinctively guided him to the mummy—from a certain perspective, it truly was the most powerful being in that dimension!

After a brief hesitation, Lin QiYe's eyes lit up. He patted the mummy on the shoulder and pointed at the entire warehouse of weapons.

"Go ahead, eat your fill!"

The mummy froze, tilting its head in disbelief, as if asking: Can I really eat all of this?

Lin QiYe smiled. "You can eat all of it. This is your welcome gift from me."

The mummy excitedly made an "Oh wow" gesture before quickly grabbing the RPG rocket launcher it had just put down and swallowing it whole. Then it grabbed a truckload of explosives and started stuffing them into its mouth like chips!

Guns, ammunition, explosives, knives... The mummy swept through the entire warehouse at an astonishing speed, like a locust plague. Wherever it went, no weapon was left behind.

About half an hour later, the once full warehouse was completely empty. Not even a sharp screw was left on the shelves—cleaner than if a thief had raided it.

At this point, the mummy had grown to nearly three meters tall, almost touching the ceiling, resembling a giant.

"This seems a bit too much. Fighting indoors like this could be a problem..." Lin QiYe frowned as he looked at the towering mummy, saying with a headache.

The mummy seemed to understand him. Its bandages shrank, and its entire body deflated, like a balloon losing air. In the blink of an eye, it returned to its original size.

Lin QiYe watched this miraculous sight, a faint smile appearing on his lips.

Looks like I've really struck gold this time…

The Next Morning.

Instructor Hong, like usual, arrived early at the warehouse for his routine check of the training camp's weapons supply. This was supposed to be Instructor Guo's job, but since he had to go home for treatment after falling ill, these tasks had fallen to Instructor Hong.

"Sigh, this door is way too flimsy. I wonder when the logistics team will get a new one installed. What if someone breaks in and steals something..." Instructor Hong muttered as he pushed open the makeshift folding door. "But this is a training camp, who would be bold enough to steal something here... Hmm?"

Instructor Hong froze as he looked at the now completely empty warehouse.

"Hmm... I must have stayed up too late last night and am just seeing things... heh, heh..." He rubbed his eyes and looked again.

Five seconds of silence passed, followed by a loud "What the hell?!" that echoed across the entire training camp.

"What? The weapon warehouse is empty?" Yuan Gang asked in disbelief. "Did you check?"

"I checked, everything's been checked!" Instructor Hong said seriously. "But because there's no surveillance inside the warehouse, we couldn't see what happened. However, from the outside camera footage, no one has approached the warehouse. I also checked the footage at the camp entrance, and there's been no suspicious activity in or out in the past ten days."

"So it wasn't an outsider?" Yuan Gang's brows furrowed slightly. "Could it be an inside job?"

"But if it was an inside job, where did the weapons go?" Instructor Hong's eyes widened. "That's an entire warehouse of weapons! If they weren't sent out of the camp, where could they have hidden them?"

"Did you check the sewers, the dorms, and the classrooms?"

"We checked everything. We even dug up the training field! Nothing! It's gone, damn it..." Instructor Hong couldn't hold back his frustration.

Yuan Gang pondered for a moment. "There is one more place that could have contained all these weapons..."

Instructor Hong seemed to have thought of something. "You're talking about Bai Li Tu Ming's Free Space, aren't you? But why would he do that?"

"I don't know. Since no outsiders entered the training camp, and no one else could have hidden the weapons, if we rule out anyone above the Limitless Realm from stealing them, the only one who could have done it is that little fatty."

"But if the Bai Li family wanted military supplies, why would they need to go through such a roundabout way…"

Yuan Gang thought for a moment. "Get him here to see me."
