From his knowledge sea ZI was drawn to what was happening because bubbles were starting to show up in his knowledge sea, although it was not pronounced, it was unable to go unnoticed with ZI present there.

"What is happening" ZI said immediately using it felt Dean was just trying to heal himself was lost in some kind of epiphany at first it was troubling for him but since he did not need its help ZI felt it was not serious.
