Year 748, 25th January
Third Person POV
The sun hung high in the sky and a lone wooden boat drifted across the vast expanse of ocean. A young 10 year old boy eyes locked onto the horizon. Shinzo Senshi, a young martial artist, gripped the edge of the boat, his heart pounding in anticipation.
"Finally found the Kame House. Now, I can start my training my real training."
His thoughts echoed in his mind, a mix of relief and excitement surging through him. The small island was now in clear view, the tiny pink house standing proudly at its center, just as he had imagined.
And now, Shinzo was taking the next step.
The boat bumped gently against the shore, pulling Shinzo from his thoughts. He took a deep breath, stepping onto the soft sand. His heart raced as he approached the Kame House, knowing what awaited him beyond those doors.
And his journey had only just begun.
Shinzo's POV
'Finally found the Kame House. Now, I can start my training.'
The boat bumped gently against the shore, pulling Shinzo from his thoughts. He took a deep breath, stepping onto the soft sand. His heart raced as he approached the Kame House.
He knocked firmly, his knuckles rapping against the wood. "Hello? Is anyone home?"
A few moments passed before the door creaked open, revealing an old man with sunglasses and a long white beard. Master Roshi.
"Huh? Who are you, and what do you want?" Roshi asked, eyeing him curiously.
I straightened my posture. "Hello my name is Shinzo Senshi I am here looking for Master Muten Roshi. Are you Master Roshi?"
The old master gave a slow nod. "Yes, I am."
I bowed slightly. "I am Shinzo Senshi a martial artist from the Senshi Dojo and I would like to be a student of the great Master Muten. I've trained all my life to become a great martial artist and continue my Grandpa legacy. I also happen to be a pretty good cook."
Roshi studied him from head to toe, stroking his beard. Then, with a dismissive wave of his hand, he said, "Nah, not interested."
"Wait, why not?" I asked.
"I have enough on my plate. Teaching a new student is too much work," Roshi said, turning away.
'I knew I had to use the ultimate weapon against this pervert of a old man.'
I bit my lips, then reached into his backpack and pulled out two sets of magazines. "Well, I brought these special Magazines for you, but since you won't accept me, I guess I'll just throw them away."
He pretended to toss them into the ocean, but before he could let go, Roshi's hand shot out, stopping him mid-motion.
"Wait! Hold on a second, boy!" Roshi's voice cracked with urgency.
Shinzo smirked as the old master snatched the magazines from his grasp and inspected them with a gleam in his eyes. "Alright, fine! You're in!" Roshi declared triumphantly.
Shinzo blinked in disbelief. "That's it? Just like that?"
'Krillin had to bring a girl, and all I had to do was bring magazines?'
Roshi tucked the magazines under his arm and grinned. "Well, that's because I need a cook for myself, the turtle, and the Immortal Phoenix. Cooking is an important skill, you know."
Then Master Roshi glanced over the Kame House then he stretched and yawned. "Alright, time to pack up. Turtle, Phoenix we are moving out to that island." he said casually.
Shinzo watched as the old master pulled out a small dyno capsule from his pocket and pressed the button. With a puff of smoke, the entire Kame House vanished, neatly packed into the capsule. He might have been surprised but he has seen this many times and it does not feel that amazing any more.
With everything secured the group of Shinzo, Master Roshi, the turtle, and the Immortal Phoenix set off for a larger island where the real training would begin. Upon reaching the island Master Roshi he used the Dyno capsule and the house appeared.
"Alright, Shinzo let's see if you're as good a cook as you claim. Make us some lunch."
Shinzo smirked. "No problem."
Since after training in cooking he has become proficient in his skill. He went to the town nearby to gather fresh ingredients and got to the kitchen to show his skills utilizing techniques he had learned from the system. He grilled fish to a medium level and made a flavorful vegetable stir-fry and prepared a rich miso soup and added a lot of soya bean chunk powder. The aroma alone had everyone's mouths watering.
When lunch was served they all dug in. The turtle hummed in satisfaction Roshi nodded approvingly and even the Phoenix usually picky eater devoured his meal and asked for seconds.
Master Roshi raised an eyebrow. "Well that's a first. I don't think I've ever seen the Phoenix ask for more."
Shinzo thought. 'It might be because of the food you feed him .'
Shinzo grinned. "Guess that means I passed, right?"
Roshi chuckled. "For now. But let's see how you do in the real tests."
Master Roshi led Shinzo to an open field. "Alright boy. Let's test your speed. A 100-meter dash."
Shinzo got into position. "Here I go!" He sprinted forward crossing the finish line in 8.2 seconds.
"Not bad" Roshi said. "Alright let me do it."
Before he could Shinzo asked "Wait hold can I do it again? I forgot to remove the weights I am wearing." Then he cracked his knuckles and started to remove his weighted shoes, wrist bands and chest guard weighing total of 24 LB. Roshi's eyes widened.
{24 Pounds *1.36/3=10.88KG≈11KG}
"Wait, you were wearing those this whole time?!"
Shinzo smirked. "Yeah of course it is part of training that my grandpa gave me."
Shinzo thought smugly. 'Thanks to the system which developed proper training and diet plans for me.'
Master Roshi thought. 'I underestimated this kid. Later, I will push him to his limits to check his strength.'
He took his stance exhaled and sprinted forward with perfect form. The wind rushed past him and in just 6.5 seconds he reached the finish line.
Turtle said. "No way… I don't think even the old man can match that."
Master Roshi agitated. "Stupid Turtle! I can definitely do better than this watch me closely and you time it properly."
The old master took off his turtle shell and then did some warm up and then suddenly dashed forward completing the run in 4.9 seconds. He turned to face them with a smug look. "See that you stupid turtle and you little boy you still got a long way to go remember this. HUH!"
Inwardly Shinzo. 'System how much time did Master Roshi took in the anime.'
[Host Master Roshi took 5.6 seconds for the run]
'It seems he got serious because of me.'
As the sun lowered in the sky. Roshi picked up a stone and carved a mark onto it. Then without warning he hurled it deep into the forest. "Your final test for today! Find this stone before sunset or else you go without dinner!"
Shinzo narrowed his eyes and thought. 'I am the one who is going to make the dinner. Can't you punish me with something else.'
Fortunately he recalled this test from the original story a few moments earlier. As such the moment Master Roshi picked up the stone he maintained a watch on it.
Shinzo muttered and dashed into the forest. He moved swiftly following the route keeping his eyes peeled. Minutes passed then an hour but he stayed focused. Then beneath a thick bush. He spotted a the marked and carved stone.
"Gotcha!"
Gripping the stone he raced back just before sunset. He held it up with a triumphant grin. "I found it!"
Master Roshi nodded approvingly. "Well done. Shinzo. That means you get to eat dinner tonight."
Shinzo wiped his brow. "Good. Because I'll be the one cooking."
Master Roshi 'He seems to be a bit prideful need to make sure he does not become overconfident.'
That night they enjoyed a hearty meal. As Shinzo ate he smiled and seems to be thinking about something.
'It was good decision to learn. I wanted to learn cooking to I could get training from Whis in the future so I asked the system to research on various recipes and to asked to improve them.'
