By evening, Lena was pacing her office, the events of the day swirling in her mind. She had too many questions and not enough answers. When Reed knocked and entered without waiting for a response, her nerves were already frayed.
"Busy day?" Reed asked casually, sitting across from her.
"Something like that, She didn't trust herself to speak too freely. Not yet". Lena replied, her tone clipped.
Reed tilted his head, studying her.
"You look... tense. Is everything alright?" Reed said.
"Why wouldn't it be?" she shot back, her eyes narrowing.
"No reason. Just seems like you've got a lot on your plate." Reed said smirking.
Lena's patience snapped.
"Cut the small talk, Reed. If you have something to say, say it." Lena said.
Reed leaned back in his chair, his expression unreadable.
"Alright. Let's talk about the breaches." Reed said.
