Chapter 151: Shrek, A Nation Within A Nation!

"Haha, Xiaoyu, how do you feel? Can you drive a car, or do you need Grandpa Wang to teach you?" Wang Chonggu teased, his tone playful.

"Ha!" Jing Xiaoyu chuckled and replied confidently, "Grandpa Wang, you're underestimating me. If I can pilot a mecha, driving a car is a piece of cake!"

"Exactly! How could someone who can handle a mecha not drive a car? Isn't that right, Old Luo?" Wang Chonggu shot a sly smile at Luo Feng, the faint mockery evident in his tone.

"Get lost!" Luo Feng growled, his face darkening in frustration.

"Hahaha, Xiaoyu, you're already far better than your Grandpa Luo!" Wang Chonggu laughed heartily, glancing smugly at Luo Feng.

Only then did Jing Xiaoyu realize that Luo Feng, despite being a black-grade mecha expert, actually couldn't drive a car. It was amusing, though not entirely shocking—there were no rules in the Federation saying mecha pilots had to know how to drive. It was just something that friends like Wang Chonggu would never let go of, using it as fuel for endless teasing.

"Alright, Xiaoyu, ignore these two old coots," Yu Qian said warmly, waving off the banter. "Your license is a black-grade permit. It allows you to drive your vehicle anywhere in the Federation except for restricted areas. I think it should meet your needs for now."

"Anywhere except restricted areas?" Jing Xiaoyu's eyes flickered with thought. He asked, "Grandma Yu, what about Shrek Academy? Can I use this there?"

"Ah…" Yu Qian's smile froze momentarily before she sighed with a bitter chuckle. "I almost forgot. Shrek Academy has its own special vehicle permits. Even the Federation's highest red-grade licenses don't apply there. If you want to drive your mecha or car within Shrek Academy, you'll need to get a permit from their Mecha Association."

"I see," Jing Xiaoyu nodded thoughtfully. Shrek Academy's rules never fail to amaze me. A special permit just for their grounds? That's so typical of Shrek—their status as a 'nation within a nation' is truly well-deserved.

"As we're talking about Shrek's Mecha Association, I just remembered something," Yu Qian said with a smile, her tone softening. "Xiaoyu, when you get into Shrek Academy, make sure you go straight to their Mecha Association and report in. Here, take this letter."

Yu Qian handed over a sealed envelope. Jing Xiaoyu took it, noting the name scrawled neatly on the front: 'To Master Xuelin'.

"Grandma Yu, is this Xuelin the head of Shrek Academy's Mecha Association?" Jing Xiaoyu asked curiously as he studied the envelope.

"Yes," Yu Qian confirmed with a nostalgic look, her eyes softening with reverence. "Master Xuelin was my teacher. He is the greatest mecha designer on the continent and the most senior figure in today's mecha world. Nearly all of the continent's god-grade mechas were crafted by him. If you can gain his guidance, your talents as a designer will reach their fullest potential."

"That incredible?" Jing Xiaoyu blinked in surprise. The greatest mecha designer? The most senior figure in the field? For such a monumental figure, how did the original story not mention him at all? A god-tier designer of this caliber certainly sounds formidable. I'll have to ask Teacher about him later.

"Of course!" Yu Qian's pride was evident. "Master Xuelin's greatness is beyond words. Once you meet him and spend some time under his guidance, you'll see that I wasn't exaggerating in the slightest."

"We can vouch for that!" Luo Feng and Wang Chonggu chimed in as they walked over, seemingly having settled their little squabble. Luo Feng added, "Master Xuelin is truly a pillar of the mecha world—he's a legend. If you're lucky enough to be taken under his wing, your dual-mode, dual-form mecha design will advance far more quickly. Who knows? You might even stand shoulder-to-shoulder with him one day."

Yu Qian frowned faintly at this comparison but refrained from objecting. While she felt it was premature to compare her teacher to anyone, even Jing Xiaoyu, she couldn't deny that Xiaoyu's potential was extraordinary.

Jing Xiaoyu accepted the letter with a solemn expression. "Grandpa and Grandma, with all of you recommending him so highly, I'll definitely make it a point to visit Master Xuelin."

The three elders smiled, satisfied that their efforts had sparked Jing Xiaoyu's curiosity. If anyone could help Jing Xiaoyu's revolutionary dual-form mecha design become mainstream, it was Master Xuelin.

"All right, Xiaoyu, we won't hold you up any longer. I'm sure you still have things to do." Yu Qian took a step back, signaling it was time for farewells. "Just remember to visit us when you're back on holiday."

"I will!" Jing Xiaoyu waved back with a smile. "Take care, Grandma Yu, Grandpa Wang, Grandpa Luo!"

With that, Jing Xiaoyu hopped into the Zero God Supercar (the car form of his Zero God Mecha) and drove out of the underground facility, emerging onto the open roads of Eastsea City.

The appearance of such a sleek and futuristic supercar immediately turned heads. Drivers on the road instinctively slowed down to keep their distance—a car that expensive was not something they could afford to scrape.

Meanwhile, Jing Xiaoyu was thoroughly enjoying himself. I never drove anything like this in my previous life, and now I'm cruising around in a transforming supercar at thirteen! The thought alone was enough to make him giddy.

However, as he glanced at the empty passenger seat, his excitement dampened. Why is there only one passenger seat? This is going to be a problem…

He frowned, imagining future scenarios where he'd want to take Gu Yue and Xu Xiaoyan for a spin. How do I explain only having room for one of them? If I leave one behind, it'll be chaos!

The thought of juggling two companions left him sighing heavily. Maybe I should've designed a four-seater…

Before long, the Zero God Supercar brought Jing Xiaoyu to Leng Yaozhu's seaside villa. He parked outside, hopped out, and with a flash of his Zero Ring, the car disappeared into thin air.

"Ah Yu, where did that car come from?" Gu Yue's voice rang out from the third-floor balcony. Jing Xiaoyu looked up to see her leaning on the railing, gazing down at him with curiosity.

"I'll tell you in a bit. Where's Teacher?" Jing Xiaoyu replied, stepping into the courtyard.

"I'm here." Leng Yaozhu's voice drifted down lazily. She lay on a sun lounger on the balcony, sipping red wine while enjoying the breeze and sunlight.

Jing Xiaoyu leapt effortlessly onto the balcony, where Gu Yue handed him a glass of juice. Taking a sip, he flopped into the empty lounger beside Leng Yaozhu and said, "Teacher, I just came from the Mecha Association. Do you know someone named Xuelin?"

"Hmm, I do." Leng Yaozhu's reply was calm as ever, showing no surprise. She ignored Jing Xiaoyu stealing Gu Yue's lounger and didn't even bat an eye when Gu Yue playfully smacked his shoulder in protest. Instead, she simply took another sip of wine, her expression serene and unbothered.
