Chapter 172: The Tree-Felling Plan, the Collapse of the Divine Tree!

Chapter 172: The Tree-Felling Plan, the Collapse of the Divine Tree!

To Uchiha Yi, Obito's role had always been singular: to resurrect Madara.

Now that Obito had fulfilled his purpose, it was time for Yi to collect his dues.

"Wheel of Calamity!"

Targeting Obito, Yi unleashed his Rinnegan's unique ability, an invisible force pulling Obito into another dimension.

Uchiha Yi himself disappeared soon after, leaving behind only an empty battlefield.

Madara, who had been closing in, stopped in his tracks, glaring at the spot where Yi had vanished.

"Damn it!" Madara snarled. From the start, Yi had been toying with him, never taking the fight seriously. This was a deep insult to someone of Madara's stature.

"Madara-sama, we must focus on the plan!" Black Zetsu appeared at Madara's side, his tone laced with urgency.

Madara, however, was in no mood to listen.

"Shut up!" he barked.

Still, as his rage subsided, Madara realized Zetsu had a point.

Uchiha Yi might truly pose a threat. Madara clenched his fists. But the Infinite Tsukuyomi… that must come first.

With newfound resolve, he turned his attention to the Divine Tree. However, the moment his gaze landed on it, his eyes widened in horror.

"Impossible!"

---

Meanwhile, away from the conflict, Tobirama and Minato had managed to free themselves from the black rods pinning them.

"Tobirama, you and the Fourth Hokage take down the Divine Tree," Hashirama commanded, his tone urgent but firm.

"If Yi can't handle Madara, I'll stop him myself!"

Understanding the gravity of the situation, Tobirama and Minato nodded.

"Got it!"

Without hesitation, the two vanished in a flash of Flying Thunder God Jutsu, reappearing at the base of the Divine Tree.

Standing before the colossal structure, they unleashed a barrage of ninjutsu, determined to bring it down.

However, the Divine Tree seemed impervious to conventional attacks. Their fire, water, and lightning techniques barely left a scratch.

"As expected, it's not going to be that simple," Tobirama muttered grimly.

"This is the Divine Tree—the final form of the Ten-Tails. It won't fall so easily," Minato added, beads of sweat forming on his brow.

The voice of the Yin Kurama inside Minato spoke up.

"Try combining Sage Mode with Lava Release. That might work."

Minato's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "Good idea!"

Reaching out to the Four-Tails, he quickly explained the situation.

"Fine. I'll help," Son Goku—the Four-Tails—agreed.

With their cooperation secured, Minato extended his hand, forming a massive Rasengan.

As he infused it with Sage Chakra and Lava Release, the orb began to glow a fiery red, emanating intense heat.

"Everyone, clear the area!" Minato shouted.

The other ninja scattered as Minato charged toward the Divine Tree, the enormous Lava Release Rasengan in hand.

"Sage Art: Lava Release Rasengan!"

The blazing sphere collided with the Divine Tree, burning through its bark and sinking deep into its core. The intense heat and energy caused the tree to tremble violently.

"Just a little more!" Minato gritted his teeth, pouring more power into the attack.

Finally, with a deafening explosion, the Divine Tree's trunk snapped, and the colossal structure began to tilt.

---

From a distance, Madara noticed the tree's collapse and his expression darkened.

"No!"

The Divine Tree was integral to his plan. Without it, the Infinite Tsukuyomi would be impossible to execute.

"Madara-sama, we still have a chance. Capture the Tailed Beasts and become the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki!" Black Zetsu urged.

Madara's gaze hardened.

"Fine," he growled.

---

Using Limbo: Border Jail, Madara sent his invisible shadow clones to subdue the scattered Tailed Beasts.

At the same time, he summoned the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path—the shell of the Ten-Tails.

Chains shot out from the statue's mouth, binding the Tailed Beasts one by one.

Despite their struggles, the beasts were dragged into the statue, their roars fading as they were absorbed.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

Madara performed another hand seal, targeting the Nine-Tails sealed inside Minato.

The Nine-Tails resisted, but Madara's technique bypassed the seal, pulling the Yin half of the fox out of Minato's body.

In moments, all nine Tailed Beasts had been recaptured.

---

At the base of the fallen Divine Tree, Hashirama arrived just in time to see the last of the Tailed Beasts absorbed into the statue.

"No!" he exclaimed, realizing what was about to happen.

Madara smirked.

"You're too late, Hashirama. The Ten-Tails lives again!"

The Demonic Statue of the Outer Path roared as it transformed, its grotesque body expanding and twisting until it became the fully revived Ten-Tails.

Despite their efforts, the shinobi had failed to prevent its return.

---

"Damn it," Tobirama muttered, frustration evident in his voice.

Even though they had successfully felled the Divine Tree, Madara had achieved his goal regardless.

Now, the Infinite Tsukuyomi loomed closer than ever.

---

In the background, a faint ripple signaled Uchiha Yi's return to the battlefield.

With Obito now removed from the equation, his attention turned to the towering Ten-Tails—and the man controlling it.

"It seems I'm just in time," Yi remarked, his voice carrying over the tense silence.

As the shinobi regrouped, all eyes turned to him, their last hope against Madara and the Ten-Tails.

The final battle was about to begin.
