Chapter 255: Kaido, the Shameless Youngster!
"Oi, Kizaru!"
"Now's not the time to slack off!"
"If those two rampage unchecked, we'll have no choice but to intervene!"
Garp lazily picked his nose while glaring at Kizaru, easily seeing through the admiral's intentions to avoid work.
"Well, if you insist."
Kizaru shrugged in exaggerated defeat, clearly reluctant but unwilling to argue further.
"It's not just those two idiots," Garp continued, his tone turning serious. "Look around. Plenty of other big shots are showing up, all drawn by the Thunder Fruit."
"If we don't contain this soon, they'll tear this entire sea apart!"
Indeed, as time passed, the crowd of powerful figures continued to grow.
Two of Big Mom's Sweet Commanders had already arrived.
Three members of the Seven Warlords of the Sea had shown up as well, eager to profit from the chaos.
Among the sea of pirates, few bounties dipped below a billion berries.
Keeping such volatile forces from clashing in the same area was a near-impossible task.
But as Marines, Garp and his team couldn't stand idly by while chaos brewed.
At a small seaside restaurant, Charlotte Cracker and Smoothie, two of Big Mom's top commanders, sat enjoying a luxurious lunch.
Around them, their subordinates reported the latest developments and the current state of the hunt for the Thunder Fruit user.
"What the hell is going on?!"
Cracker scowled, slamming his fork down.
"Wasn't the Thunder Fruit user supposed to be here?!"
"Where are they?!"
Arriving slightly later than others, Cracker now saw Kaido and Shiki locked in fierce combat.
The scene made his heart sink.
With so many titans gathered, the mission's difficulty had skyrocketed to nightmare levels.
He couldn't believe how little useful information his underlings had gathered.
"Uhh… w-we're not sure, sir," one scout stammered, unable to provide an answer.
"Useless trash!"
Without hesitation, Cracker drew his sword and struck the man down.
His patience had worn thin.
"So, what now?" Smoothie asked nonchalantly, wiping her mouth with a napkin after finishing her meal.
"Damn it!" Cracker growled. "I didn't expect that battle-crazed maniac Kaido to show up here!"
"And we've got Garp, Aokiji, Kizaru, and that senile old lion Shiki too!"
"Every single one of them is a nightmare to deal with!"
"Getting the Thunder Fruit user out of here safely? Almost impossible!"
Cracker's expression darkened.
The situation had spiraled far beyond his ability to control.
"Impossible or not, we have to succeed!" Smoothie countered, shivering slightly as she recalled Big Mom's wrath.
"Failure means facing Mama's fury—and you know how that ends."
Cracker gritted his teeth, knowing she was right.
"Fine! We can't fight them head-on."
"We'll need allies—people as desperate as we are."
"If we stir the waters enough, we might just find our opening!"
After a moment of contemplation, Cracker's eyes gleamed with a devious plan.
Smoothie, curious about his scheme, opened her mouth to ask.
But Cracker was already striding away, leaving her no choice but to follow.
Cracker's path led him to an opulent estate.
Guards tried to block his way, but he barely glanced at them.
With a few swift punches and kicks, the would-be defenders crumpled to the ground.
"BAM!"
One final kick sent the manor's grand doors flying off their hinges.
"Fufufufu!"
A chilling laugh echoed from within.
"I was wondering which brainless fool dared storm my estate…"
"But it's you, Charlotte Cracker."
Donquixote Doflamingo swaggered out into the courtyard, strutting with his signature "untouchable" walk.
Behind him stood two top officers from the Donquixote Family, alongside several other subordinates.
His grin widened as he locked eyes with Cracker.
"Enough nonsense, Doflamingo!"
"Tell me—where's the Thunder Fruit user?!"
Cracker barked, tone dripping with arrogance.
He spoke as though issuing orders to a subordinate, radiating the domineering air of an emperor's right hand.
Doflamingo's grin twisted into a scowl, veins bulging on his forehead.
He hated being talked down to.
But the name Charlotte Linlin lingered in his mind, and with it came caution.
If he crossed Cracker, he'd be facing not just one Sweet Commander but the wrath of an entire Emperor's crew.
The choice was obvious.
Swallowing his pride, Doflamingo forced an indifferent smile.
"I don't know."
"Tch! Don't play dumb!" Cracker sneered.
"This is your territory! You expect me to believe you're clueless?!"
Doflamingo's smile froze.
He realized Cracker was here not just for information but to pressure him into an alliance.
"Fine!" he snapped, his patience fraying.
"What the hell do you want?!"
"That's more like it."
Cracker's grin widened, satisfied by Doflamingo's change in tone.
Without further explanation, he strode into the manor.
Watching him go, Doflamingo chuckled darkly.
"So that's your game, huh?"
Though he didn't yet understand Cracker's full plan, he knew it couldn't be anything good.
But if the Sweet Commander wanted to play dirty, Doflamingo was more than ready to match him.
Far above the raging seas, Uchiha Yi and his crew descended slowly aboard the Kunpeng.
The vast Blue Sea stretched out below them, shimmering under the sun.
But something was off.
Uchiha Yi's Observation Haki swept across the area, detecting far more powerful presences than expected.
Gaya Town, once a quiet backwater, now seethed with hostility.
Like a ticking time bomb, the island was ready to explode.
"HAHAHAHA!"
"That's it, old man!"
"Hit me harder! Or are you out of strength?!"
"What's wrong, Shiki? Is age finally catching up to you?!"
"If you're that weak, maybe it's time to retire and cry to your mommy!"
Kaido and Shiki clashed mid-air, weapons clanging like thunderbolts.
But Kaido had no intention of fighting fairly.
Despite his brawny, straightforward appearance, Kaido was anything but an honorable fighter.
He fought like a true pirate—dirty, cruel, and shameless.
Using his superior stamina and youthful vigor, Kaido avoided head-on exchanges.
Instead, he harassed Shiki with bursts of Heat Breath, keeping the older pirate constantly on edge.
To add insult to injury, Kaido taunted Shiki mercilessly, chipping away at his pride.
"Damn you, brat!"
Shiki's face turned crimson with rage.
Kaido's words weren't just insults—they were calculated attacks, pushing his blood pressure to dangerous heights.
It was infuriating.
Everyone saw Kaido as a straightforward brute.
But in reality, he was one of the most cunning and treacherous pirates alive.
Kaido knew Shiki's limits.
The Golden Lion was no longer in his prime.
Age had robbed him of endurance, and prolonged battles only drained him further.
So why fight fair?
Kaido had no intention of giving Shiki the fight he wanted.
He would drag the old lion into the mud, watching gleefully as pride turned to despair.
"Huh? What's that…?"
While the world fixated on the sky-shattering clash, something stirred in the distance.
Powerful figures across the battlefield, including Uchiha Yi and his crew, simultaneously sensed an approaching presence.
Something massive.
Something… alive.
Uchiha Yi frowned.
"A giant beast? No… a creature of myth."
At the same moment, the other combatants turned their attention skyward.
The game had just changed.
