Some Help

"I don't blame you. Not many like or respect that woman. I'm surprised she mothered Caspian. He's a completely different person," Alastor said. He leaned casually against the pillar by her side.

"Aren't you working for that woman?" Viella asked, surprised Alastor didn't jump at that moment to defend the High Lady, considering he must be a dedicated soldier.

"I am. So what?" Alastor asked. "Just because I work for her political party doesn't mean I have to show blind loyalty. She's a horrible person in general. Did you know she likes to torture some women to alleviate her stress?"

Viella sighed. "I had the feeling," she admitted.

"How so? She doesn't look all that horrible, does she?" Alastor glanced at her. But she didn't glance back.
