Meeting the Extended Family (Jarvis and Peggy)

THIRD POV—

The family of three entered the house. A man in his 50's welcomed them. He was bald and had a butler suit on. He said, "Welcome back master, madam and young miss. I am very pleased to see you all well."

"Yes, we are fine Jarvis. Please take these things to our rooms." As soon as Eloise's ears perked up heard the name of the man called Jarvis.

"As you wish master. But before that, May I be bold enough to ask what name you have decided for the young miss?"

Amanda replied, "Yes Jarvis. You don't need to be so formal with us. You are our family."

"You are very kind, madam. And thank you for thinking me as your family," said Jarvis, humbly.

Howard chuckled and said, "You are not going to change, are you? Ah, you know what scratch that." Then he took Eloise from Amanda gave her to Jarvis. "Here, hold her." Jarvis took her in his arms.

"Her name is Eloise. Eloise Stark," said Amanda.

"It's a very serene name, I must say the young miss is very adorable and it suits her very much," said Jarvis.

So, this is Jarvis thought Eloise.

At that very moment, a woman burst through the door and in a dramatic tone, she yelled , 'Good morning, everyone. Where's my god-daughter? I want to see and meet her.' Eloise wanted to close her years as the woman's voice is too loud. But what she didn't know that her thought was also shared by the other three persons except the newly arrived woman.

Howard shot an irritated look at her. "Well, nice to see you too Peggy. Can you please keep your voice down? There's a child in here, it may affect her brain and ears," grumbled Howard.

Eloise was kind of surprised to hear Peggy as her god-mother. She expected to see Jarvis at her home but not Peggy. Now for her, Peggy was one of the women who represented independent women. She was kind of first female superhero. In the comics, she was the superheroine named Captain Carter who had the same powers and shield as Steve Rogers.

Peggy said, "Fuck off!! Howard."

Amanda gave at her scandalized and said, 'Watch your language Peggy, you are my cousin but I will not tolerate you swearing near my daughter. It will be bad for her to listen this.'

"Please, like hell she can understand this. She is just a week year old little baby; you are worrying too much. So, what's her name?" replied Peggy, nonchalantly.

If Eloise could talk, she probably would have laughed and told them that her language was more colourful than Peggy. Besides, swearing was something which could express one's expression.

"Jarvis, please tell her that I don't want to deal with her at this joyful time. Pl—"

"Oh my god!! Stop being dramatic Howard," interjected Peggy. "Jarvis, just tell her what she wants and then see her out," said Howard with a disgusted look.

"Madam, Eloise is the name of our young miss," said Jarvis.

"Eloise, hmmm...." she murmured and pursed her lips. Slowly, her facial expression softened and she began to smile.

"I think I like her name, Eloise. Her name is derived from French name, meaning— famous warrior. Good thinking by both of you. You really thought of a good name. Honestly, I never thought you two are that creative."

"Thank you, Peggy," replied Amanda, sarcastically.

"Can I hold her?" said Peggy giving puppy eyes to the couple.

"No!!"

"Yes!!"

The couple said in unison. Howard shot Amanda a betrayed look. He said, "Hey! I don't—"

"Just let Peggy hold her," Amanda interrupted. She continued, "Peggy is her god-mother. She has the right."

"Fine. Give Eloise to her and you hold her carefully," grumbled Howard.

"I had myself given birth to two babies, Howard. So, I don't want to listen anything from you," replied Peggy with a hint of sarcasm in her tone. Then she took Eloise from Jarvis into her arms.

ELOISE POV—

"Hello, Eloise. I am your god-mother. Nice to meet you," said Peggy. Wow, I never thought Peggy as someone who jokes. In comics as well as in books, Peggy was stoic, serious and very patriotic. She was very focused in her job.

But this Peggy is carefree and joking. She is not what she has been described. Plus, she is married but I believe she is married not to Steve Rogers but to some other man. *Sigh* I guess I will find out about this in the future. For now, let's just sleep.
