Upon hearing what Kai just said.

Immediately Sam storm off, his shoulders stiff with anger and frustration. The boy's words lingered in the air, sharper than Kai had expected.

He turned his attention back to the group of boys he had just subdued, their defiance faltering as they tried to wriggle free from the handcuffs.

One of them sneered, though his voice carried a nervous edge.

"You think you're some kind of hero, don't you? You don't even know who we are."

At that moment Kai stepped closer, his gaze cold and unyielding.

"Who you are?" he echoed, his voice calm but laced with steel. "Right now, you're just a bunch of kids trying to act like tyrants. The world doesn't need more people like you to tarnish its core. You think you're untouchable, but here's the reality—you're not."

Hearing what Kai just said.

The ringleader barked a bitter laugh. "You're all talk, cop. You don't scare us. We've seen worse."
