Kai a regular detective was killed by his partner after he uncovered the case he had been following for years now.

After walking away, Kai decided to come back.

He doesn't want leave just and this, even though his family and him doesn't walk to much, but he just can't leave like this.

Without any hesitation he turned back.

Kai hesitated by the side of the house, his fingers brushing the envelope stuffed with money.

His heart warred with his mind. Leaving the envelope and walking away seemed like the logical choice, but something pulled him toward the house. He couldn't just stand by as the memory of his friend was trampled upon.

He pulled his hood low over his face, ensuring the shadows concealed his features. Taking a deep breath, he knocked softly on the door and stepped inside.
