At that moment the man's breath hitched as he stared at the metal doors, now bent and pried open by sheer force. His mind struggled to process what had just happened. No human should be able to do that—at least not without tools.
Yet, Kai had done it with nothing but his hands. No hesitation. No struggle. Just pure, terrifying strength.
However Kai didn't spare him a glance. He stepped inside the elevator as if nothing had happened, his movements calm and deliberate.
The man instinctively pressed himself against the wall, his pulse hammering in his ears. He had expected Kai to drag him out, maybe even throw him to the ground, but instead, Kai simply pressed the button for the upper floor—the floor the man had originally been heading to.
The soft chime of the elevator doors closing echoed in the silent space.
