Today the was just like any other days for those living in the residential district area but for some reasons Lora Russell starting from some week ago nightmares of 20 years ago kept hunting her.
Loras eyes gazed blankly into the distance, her mind consumed by the memories of that fateful day of 20 years ago. She had given birth to twins, a boy and a girl, and five years later, another son and a daughter another pair of twins. Her family had been complete, or so she thought.
She thought of sharing the news of her pregnancy with her lover.
But Crownwell family and the man she trusted her heart to destroyed all her fantasy, the family had always been proud of their heritage and their claim to nobility. They had never approved of their son marrying someone from a lower social class, and they had made their disapproval known from the start, which the man hid from her.
Her foolish heart believed him for so many years to fight for the children and her to be a blessed family, but it was all an illusion on herself.
Only regretting later for not heading her parents advice but choose to believe in love.
And yet..
Who could have thought of unplanned pregnancy could come to the picture and everything.just vanished like air, nevertheless she didn't mind to keep birth to the child.
But Lora could had never imagined that they would take her son away from her. She remembered the day vividly, the sound of her son's cries still echoing in her mind. They had come to her house, a group of stern-faced relatives, and taken her 5-year-old son away, thankfully her daughter was left behind and her unborn child was safe and sound hence her will to live was strengthened even more and hopefully to see her son again by any means.
Her hope to see her son was not baseless as the reason the reason she was given was that a descendant of the Crownwell family could not be raised outside of the family's influence. They claimed it was for the boy's own good and such, that he needed to be taught the ways of the family and their traditions.
As a mother she hoped her son could live happily and well.
All those reasons might sound tempting but to her, it was a cruel twist of fate among her children and her who had been denied the chance to raise her son, to watch him grow and thrive.
As she sat there, lost in thought,Loras eyes were moist with tears. She wondered what her son's life had been like, whether he was happy, whether he ever thought of her. The pain of losing him still felt like an open wound, even after 20 years.
As the mother sat lost in thought, her year-old daughter, Aurora walked into the room, concern etched on her face. She had always been close to her mother, and she could sense when something was bothering her.
"Mom, what's wrong?" Aurora asked, sitting down beside her mother on the couch. "You've been spaced out for a while now. Is everything okay?"
Lora hurriedly wiped away her tears, unsure of how to share her thoughts with her daughter. She didn't want to burden Aurora with her own emotional attachments any longer.
"I'm fine, sweetie," she replied, forcing a smile. "Just lost in thought, that's all."
But Aurora was not convinced. She knew her mother too well, and she could see the sadness in her eyes.
"Mom, I know you're thinking about him again, aren't you?" Aurora asked gently, referring to her brother who had been taken away.
The mother's eyes welled up with tears, and she nodded slowly.
"I'm sorry, dear," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I just can't help but think about what could have been. Your brother would be 25 now, just like you. I wonder what he's like, what he's doing with his life..."
Aurora wrapped her arms around her mother, holding her close.
"It's okay, Mom," she said softly. "I'm here for you. We'll get through this together. But please, don't think about it too much. I don't want you to get stressed or overwhelmed."
The mother smiled weakly, feeling grateful for her daughter's concern.
"I'll try, sweetie," she promised. "I just need to...process my emotions sometimes."
Aurora nodded understandingly.
"I get it, Mom. Just be careful, okay? I don't want anything to happen to you."
" Maybe be my brother will come back and all your prayers will be answered okay "
" What are you talking about you girl...."
Lora sighed softly and straightened her daughters hair behind her head.
" Right where are your siblings why aren't they here yet."
Speaking of the devil the front door opened but the two people one girl wearing demin jeans, short sleeve t-shirt and one boy wearing casual black clothes entered, the atmosphere around them not looking well.
