"We're going to grab pizza close to the university. Are you coming with?" Rodrick threw his arm over my shoulder as we walked out of the office.

It felt like the universe was on my side today. The fact that we had gotten our checks early and they let us off early as well was a sign! I went from five dollars to a hundred within hours. It also meant I didn't have to fake being sick and lose a few hours of pay just so I could see Bucky.

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I knew it wasn't a date. He simply phased it as lunch but in my heart I felt like it was so much more. There was also a large question mark if he was gay or not. Maybe he had just taken a liking to me but men who just took a liking to you didn't call you 'cute' and their 'little bird'!
