Chapter 7 Finding a Way to Escape
Mengyu still remembered that in her previous life, after the closed van was pulled to the end of the highway, they were untied and let out of the vehicle to walk the mountain paths on their own.
As a result, Yuhua took a misstep along the way, and if her hands hadn't been bound, she just would have needed to grab hold of a tree branch or something else to stay upright. But because her hands were still tied, she lost her balance and tumbled down the cliff.
The human traffickers checked on her from above and after a simple shake of their heads, they walked away, but they did untie hers and Jiang Haiyan's hands.
She really had been reborn, reborn on the road where she was previously trafficked and enclosed in a sealed van heading towards Tiger Valley!
She glanced at the two others in the van with her and saw that they both had faces full of despair.
Mengyu's heart started pounding: She didn't want to be sold to the Zhou Brothers as a Shared Wife after her rebirth. She had had enough of the torments of the past ten years in her prior life and didn't want to go through it all over again.
Therefore, she must escape before being sold into Tiger Valley.
Although Mengyu had woken up before they reached Horse Hoof Pond, due to the effects of the sedative, her head was still groggy.
Since they were in a sealed van, there was no need to say that the outside of the cargo compartment was locked. Hence, it was unrealistic to think of escaping on the road.
The only option was to find a way to run away before arriving at Tiger Valley, after getting out of the van.
If all else failed, she would just have to jump off the cliff at the same place as in her previous life.
It's just that in her previous life, she was lucky enough to be caught by a pine tree.
If she were to jump again and not be caught by a pine tree but fall straight down, she would be shattered to pieces.
But if she couldn't escape the fate of being sold off as a Shared Wife, she would rather have not been reborn at all!
Hence, she still decided, to jump off the cliff once more.
Mengyu remembered that in her previous life, the three of them were originally escorted into the mountains by three human traffickers, but later on, one of them developed a stomachache. By the time they got off the van, only two traffickers were escorting them.
This was also the reason why they hadn't initially untied the three women's hands.
She must find a way to get them to untie their hands before they began ascending the mountain.
Otherwise, even if she was lucky enough again to be caught by a pine tree, with her hands still tied, just a slight movement might lead to a certain death.
When the vehicle reached the end of the highway at Horse Hoof Pond, the lock at the door was opened, and finally, the door itself was opened.
A gust of fresh air poured into the compartment and along with it a low command: "Get out, hurry up and get out."
Sure enough, just like in her previous life, one of the three was clutching his stomach and started to moan, "Ouch, my stomach hurts so much, I'm not going any further, you two take them."
The other two traffickers did not think that the three girls could cause any trouble, and so, they quickly decided that the one with the stomachache would drive back and come again tomorrow to pick them up while the remaining two would escort the three into the mountains.
"In that case, we won't need to untie the hands of these goods."
The two came over to untie the bonds of the three women. Mengyu saw that they only untied their feet and not their hands; she hurriedly said:
"Big brother, please untie my hands as well. You see, mountain climbing requires the use of hands.
If you are not careful and stumble, with hands you can grab onto things to prevent falling down the mountain. If your hands are tied and you can't hold onto anything, one slip and you could roll all the way down. We would suffer, and you would experience a loss."
The tall trafficker did not expect Mengyu to still be thinking this way during such a time and felt she was no simple matter: "What's your name?"
