Kael's words left the leader stunned—and the other Primers watching weren't any different.
This was the first time they had seen someone so arrogant and bold, acting as if he didn't care whether the person he was dealing with had a suit or not.
On the sidelines, the New One's Group observed the situation with curiosity, especially their leader, Carina.
Carina's deep blue eyes studied the man in casual clothing. Unlike the others, who were simply eager to watch what would happen next, she analyzed the so-called arrogant man.
His clothes were dirty, with visible signs of being clawed apart—either by the jagged stones on the ground or a beast's attack.
Raising her hand, she activated the zooming feature of her suit, her vision closing in on the man's exposed skin. Her gaze sharpened as she noticed something unusual—his veins and muscles were pulsing slightly.
His whole body is tense. He's in great pain.
Carina turned off the zooming feature just in time to catch Kael glancing in her direction.
"Do you know him?" she asked her teammates.
"I know that guy. He's the famous Grey Hunter," Lance said from the side. "He's been hopping from Grey Fissure to Grey Fissure without showing much progress."
"He's definitely hoarding his Status Points. Brave but foolish. He's going to die young," Dave commented with a chuckle.
Hoarding Status Points while entering Fissures was a dangerous gamble—it meant going in as a normal human. Those who attempted it were either highly skilled fighters or tactical geniuses who knew how to use their surroundings to their advantage.
"But we can't deny he's doing well," Herm said, narrowing his eyes at the young man hugging the oversized Growth Orbs. "Most people wouldn't survive entering a Fissure alone, but he's been at it for at least a year now."
"It's just luck," Lance scoffed, glancing at the chubby-faced Herm. "Why do you think you even got a contract from New Ones? People like you can only rely on luck, not talent."
"Ohh, burned!" Dave clapped his hands.
"You really want trouble, huh?" Herm glared at Lance and Dave, but the two just laughed it off.
"Enough, you two," Carina said, shooting them a glare.
"Alright, we'll stop."
"It looks like they've found the miner," Carina muttered as the troublemakers finally quieted down. "Let's wait and see."
…
"Your mouth… I'll personally cut it off!" the leader roared, clenching his fist. "I don't know how you got your hands on all these Second Grade Growth Orbs, but they belong to us!"
"And how's that?" Kael asked, his expression unchanging. "So you can just steal openly? Everyone here is fine with that?"
"Boy, you don't know sh*t," the leader sneered. "There's no law inside a Fissure! Here, the strong reign supreme! And clearly, you don't have the right to refuse what we want!"
This leader was only average at best compared to the team leaders watching the scene unfold, so he wanted to show off now that the opportunity had presented itself. Even though he knew that once he took the Growth Orbs, they would become the next target, he wasn't going to go down without putting on a show first.
"Oh? Is that so?" Kael raised an eyebrow. "Good to know."
"Let's just end them already! These Growth Orbs are enough to push three of us to the next level!" one of the leader's teammates shouted, and the others agreed.
The Growth Orbs in Trey and Bach's hands weren't a massive amount, but they also weren't insignificant. Considering that these three were just normal humans without even an Exosuit, it was shocking that they had managed to get their hands on one—let alone six!
"No. I'll personally take care of these fools," the leader said, stepping forward toward Kael.
Trey and Bach exchanged glances before taking a few steps back.
"Can he handle that guy?" Bach asked.
"I don't know," Trey admitted, shaking his head. He had seen Kael take down an entire group of Primers, but Kael had relied on trickery and weapons back then. In a direct, face-to-face battle? Trey wasn't sure. However, when he thought about how Kael had managed to kill Second Grade Behemechs, he hesitated. A Primer, who needed an entire team just to take down a single Second Grade Behemech, should be easy for Kael… right?
Kael's eyes wandered over the leader's teammates before he asked, "After I defeat you, are the others going to come at me?"
"You think you can defeat me?" The leader's face twisted in disbelief. He even turned to his teammates, as if making sure he had heard correctly. When his team nodded, confirming what was said, he finally reacted. Clutching his stomach, he burst into laughter as if he had just heard the greatest joke of his life.
"Hahaha! That's hilarious! Really! But tell me—what makes you think you can defeat me?"
"With my handsome face, I've already defeated you a million times," Kael replied.
The area fell into silence.
The women in the crowd couldn't help but take a closer look at the White Prime, and sure enough, none of them could deny his words.
The men, on the other hand, felt as though their faces had just been slapped—especially the leader himself, who was on the receiving end of the insult.
"You're annoying," the leader growled, his expression dark.
"I'll take that as a compliment," Kael nodded. "Anyway, if you're just going to stand there and admire my handsomeness, I think we should clear the Fissure now."
"F*ck you!" The leader snapped.
With veins bulging in his temples, he charged toward Kael.
He didn't activate any of his suit's combat features, relying only on the natural boost in strength and speed that the suit provided. After all, using its full capabilities on a normal human was a waste of energy.
His way of thinking was correct—if he was fighting a normal person.
But against Kael?
It was like watching a First Grade Behemech charge toward him—weak and easy to dispatch.
A small smirk crept onto Kael's face. Without even using his Speed Burst Technique, he sidestepped smoothly and swung the sniper rifle from his back, hooking it around the leader's legs.
The leader didn't even have time to be surprised—one second, he was charging, and the next?
His face was slamming into the ground.
