In mere moments, every cell and drop of blood began to burn with heat as the genetic power of the virus took over. His temperature soared, but Novak kept it control. He knew better than to let the virus go unchecked.

The rise in body temperature matched the speed at which the evolution points were being consumed. To progress from 6% to 7% cost him 15 points, and 7% to 8% demanded another 17. Drops of sweat fell from his body, remnants of the cellular strengthening process. Meanwhile, his cells solidified, his muscles became denser, and the virus rewrote his genetic structure.
In less than an hour, Novak had only one of his 57 points left, but the awakening level of his Black Light Virus had doubled.
Although it didn't directly double his physical attributes, the power surging from within was undeniable. Novak clenched his fist, and the sound of an explosion echoed in the dark room like thunder.
