Novak casually tossed the two items over to Daphne. As she looked on in shock, he remarked, "I don't think I need to teach you how to use these."

Daphne hurriedly nodded, her eyes wide with surprise.

Novak didn't concern himself with these matters. While intelligence cores and mechanical creations were indeed significant, the appearance of weapons like guns and tanks, recognized by the Cosmic Will, wouldn't have much impact on him personally.

Still, it would certainly bring additional benefits to White Emperor City, and as its owner, those benefits would naturally trickle down to him.

As for Daphne holding the highest authority—this was just part of the city's design, which Novak himself had control over. She wouldn't be able to suppress him, the city's founder.

Moreover, these items needed constant protection within the city, and Novak didn't have the time or inclination to personally handle everything.

"Don't worry," he added. "As I've always said, while these things are important, what really matters in the end is your own strength. Keep that in mind."

Daphne's eyes gleamed mischievously, like a sly fox. With her increased Constitution and level, her skin, which had started to show signs of ageing, had returned to its youthful peak. Her charm hadn't diminished either, and her rejuvenated appearance made Novak smile.

Sensing his thoughts, Daphne glided over gracefully and teased, "We have the city's founding banquet to attend tonight. There's still six or seven hours to go."

Novak smiled, thinking there was indeed enough time.

---

Four hours later...

Andrea arrived at the villa's third-floor fitness room, only to be stunned by the sight before her.

Daphne lay there, her eyes rolled back and foaming at the mouth. Was this the same woman who stood at the top of White Emperor City with a cold, regal demeanor, privately referred to as "the Queen"?

Was this the same arrogant, fierce beauty who had once been the pride of De M-anila City? The graceful and dignified lady who, even before the apocalypse, exuded the aura of nobility?

Even on the battlefield, where she'd been besieged but fought valiantly, this sight was unthinkable. And yet, here she was, unrecognizable in this state.

Andrea, a pure yet scheming schoolgirl who was always good at hiding her true nature, was left speechless by the scene.

But there was another presence in the room.

Muscle lines like chiseled stone, perfectly proportioned in a way no one else could match. The mere sight made Andrea tremble inside.

Without hesitation, she dropped to her knees and, imitating what she had witnessed earlier, crawled toward him like a docile pet, rubbing her head against her master's knee in a display of submission.

"It's quite lively outside, isn't it?" Novak murmured, running his fingers through Andrea's hair.

It seemed that completing the city-building task had raised everyone's levels, just like a monk advancing in cultivation.

He hadn't paid attention to his own level, but now he noticed it clearly. After a day and night of slaughtering zombies, the experience points they offered were minimal. But for fellow evolutionists—those with not-so-large level gaps—the improvement was far more significant.

More importantly, while finishing the city-building task, he'd been too absorbed in the Blacklight Virus awakening and evolution process to notice the notification from the Cosmic Will.

Sure enough, as he idly stroked Andrea's hair, he checked the log and saw the notification:

[The S-Class city-building task has been completed. All members involved in city construction have gained +1 level and +2 extra free attribute points.]

Instead of awarding a fixed amount of experience, it had granted an instant level-up.

Nice! he thought to himself. He had benefited greatly from this. Novak's level had now reached Level 10, a threshold that, in the early stages of the apocalypse, would typically take other evolutionists anywhere from a month to half a year—or even longer—to achieve. Many were stuck at this very point.

Job change.

The difference between low-level and advanced classes was vast, and Novak knew he was on the cusp of a major breakthrough.

He exhaled, knowing he would soon investigate his job-change task, but for now, there were other matters to attend to.

Zogwort had finally left, and Novak now had the time to explore the face situation.

Returning to the secret warehouse that had been sealed for days, even Novak was taken aback by what he found inside.

He had exterminated dozens of low-level demon bloodlines in the demon village, and even the high-tier A+ demon bloodlines were now completely wiped out.

But in their place, something new had appeared not far ahead.

It was heart-like in shape, pulsating with a black-and-red hue. Enclosed within a thick, horn-like shell, its surface was jagged and sharp, and it was about the size of a baby's fist.

Novak immediately focused on it, while tightening his grip on Andrea's ponytail. His speed surged as he inspected the item.

The attributes appeared before him:

[Advanced Devil's Blood Essence (S-Class)]

[Item – Medicine]

[A purified concentrate of the demon bloodline, making the bloodline purer and more powerful.]

[Requirements for use: None.]

What the...?

Novak stopped in his tracks, prompting Andrea, who had assumed he was shifting gears, to look up in confusion.

Seeing Novak's intense focus elsewhere, she quickly resumed her submissive behavior, automatically switching back into her role as she moved her head up and down.

An S-Class Bloodline!

Finally, the real treasure had appeared!

What made it even better was the lack of the usual restrictions associated with low-tier bloodlines. Anyone who consumed it could possess this incredibly powerful demon bloodline.

With great care, Novak stored it back in the warehouse.

His calm exterior hid his growing excitement.

If everything goes this smoothly... the SSS-Class bloodline might not be out of reach!
