Novak had complete confidence in the gods' ability to learn the language of the new trial field of gods and demons—so he wasn't the least bit surprised when he heard these flawlessly pronounced swearing word with matching expression.
At that moment, however, Zogwort's complexion was quite wrong.
For an instant, Novak saw a terrifying hint of murderous intent flash across the normally dependable god of trade's face.
But this trace of killing intent quickly vanished without a trace.
Time seemed to stretch on endlessly in that instant.
Novak narrowed his eyes slightly, recognizing the seriousness of the Abyss Master job transfer scroll, which had even stirred a moment of bloodlust in this god of trade.
Finally, a long sigh escaped Zogwort as he looked at Novak with a mixture of bewilderment and awe.
"Dear Friend, you truly manage to create miracles that defy all expectations! While I am deeply curious as to how you passed the abyss trial, I must admit that you've managed to surprise me once again!"
"The Abyss Master job scroll is even harder to obtain than two SSS-level transfer scrolls, and yet here it is—a profession that countless beings thought could never exist, right here before my eyes."
"The abyss is the end of all things; if such authority falls into mortal hands... but I trust that you will remain my friend, right?"
Novak was taken aback, seeing for the first time a complex mix of emotions in Zogwort's eyes. The god of goblin trade was, at this moment, treating him as an equal.
For the first time, Novak realized that he and this god of trade were genuine friends.
Novak nodded and then pointed to the contract beside them.
"Let's sign it," he said.
"Haha! Excellent!" Zogwort laughed heartily. "Here, take these—quickly, let me witness the profession that stirs such jealousy and desire!"
With a gesture, he tossed over a golden-lit scroll—the promised career transfer scroll!
Novak eyed the little deity curiously.
What was this god thinking?
Just moments ago, Zogwort hadn't bothered to hide his killing intent, yet now he seemed relieved and even eager.
Noticing Novak's look, Zogwort grinned excitedly.
"Think about it," he said. "With a job that grants dominion over the abyss, and with so many layers in the abyss teeming with creatures, the potential for the Goblin Chamber of Commerce is boundless—it's practically a golden egg!"
"My dear friend Novak, I already have an idea of my return on investment. Nothing else matters! The Goblin Chamber of Commerce will establish itself in the abyss, and those damned, mindless demons will learn that trade is mutually beneficial!"
Novak paused, taken aback.
But Zogwort had a point.
Novak knew just how many layers there were in the abyss.
And the sheer number of demons dwelling within those layers?
While Novak didn't have the exact figures, he knew that each layer of the abyss was vast, often even larger than his original world of Kepler.
The demon population certainly reached into the billions!
In the abyss, there were resources that every world desired, along with rare and exclusive materials unique to its dark depths.
If the Goblin Chamber of Commerce could establish a foothold here, it would reap tremendous profits through trade and resource sales.
No wonder Zogwort was acting so unusually.
After all, only someone who had completed the abyss trial could use the Abyss Master's job transfer scroll.
Even if Zogwort were to eliminate him, it seemed unlikely he would gain anything from it.
When it came to the dual job scroll, however, Zogwort truly had no reason to act otherwise.
Considering this, Novak offered a smile.
"Your Excellency has done me such a great favor; this small request is naturally no problem!"
Novak signed his name on the contract after a thorough review. In that moment, the voice of the Cosmic Will sounded in his ears:
[SSS-level mission "Ultimate Investment" completed! You have received the mission reward: Dual Job Transfer Scroll!]
With the Cosmic Will as witness, even a god couldn't pull any tricks, so Novak had no concerns.
Now, the faintly glowing scroll was finally in his hands.
Zogwort's small eyes twinkled as he looked at Novak, anticipation clear in his gaze. This was, after all, the pinnacle of goblin alchemy and technology, the greatest treasure he had developed over the years.
He was undeniably eager to see its results!
[Dual Job Transfer Scroll (SSS)]
[Special Item]
[A peak creation of goblin industry and alchemical expertise! Allows an evolver to hold two job classes and growth attributes simultaneously! All attribute and skill bonuses take effect concurrently! A prized possession of the god of goblin trade.]
[Requirements: Level 10 | No active job class]
Novak's hands trembled slightly.
In his past life, every evolver who dealt with the god of trade dreamed of this treasure!
A job class was the core of an evolver's strength—one of the most vital assets they could acquire. And here was an item allowing an evolver to possess two job classes simultaneously!
And now, this treasure belonged to him!
"Use!"
Novak took a deep breath, steadying his voice. But as the scroll slowly dissolved into light and melded into his body, he couldn't completely quell his excitement.
[You have used the special item "Dual Job Scroll." You may now use job transfer scrolls to attain two job classes!]
Perfect!
Novak flexed his hands, and both job transfer scrolls materialized before him: one dark green, the other deep black.
'The Scourge of Life' and 'The Abyss Master'.
Novak exhaled deeply. Under Zogwort's eager gaze, he activated the two scrolls that he had acquired through so many struggles.
In a brilliant flash, they shattered, releasing an overwhelming force.
