"Money," he finished for her. "Which I have."

"You're in my way," Isabella said without looking up from her drink.

"I don't need an invitation," Kai said smoothly. "I'm here to make you an offer."

Isabella arched an eyebrow. "I don't sell my company."

"You don't have to," Kai replied. "I'm offering an investment. A billion-dollar cash infusion to take Laurent Designs global. I'll double your market share in six months."

A flicker of interest crossed her face. "And in return?"

"I take a 51% stake," Kai said. "And we crush your Nexus-backed competitors."

At the mention of Nexus, Isabella's expression darkened.

"I know you hate them," Kai said. "And I know they've tried to force you out. Let's hit them where it hurts."

For a moment, Isabella said nothing. Then, slowly, a smile curved her lips.

Kai extended his hand. "Then let's make history."
