Enter the Justice League — Part 2

Hope you are with your snacks.

Fair warning: This might be dark, like any DC comic or Spiderman author.

Raven stood on the battlefield, her cosmic power radiating outward, making even the most seasoned Justice League members falter. Kyla-El floated beside her, arms crossed and her presence nearly as intimidating as Raven's. Diana hovered slightly above the ground, exuding the divine authority that had come from her ascension.

Green Arrow took a deep breath, feeling the oppressive weight of Raven's power pressing down on them. He nocked an arrow, readying himself to strike. "No matter what, we won't let you win," he declared, his voice strained but resolute.

Raven didn't even turn to face him. Instead, she sighed deeply and rubbed her temple, a look of pure disappointment crossing her features. "You really think that an arrow will change the course of this battle? Have you learned nothing?" She palmed her forehead, frustrated that such defiance still lingered among the mortals of planet Earth.

Before he could let his arrow fly, Diana moved faster than the speed of light, appearing beside him in an instant. Her divine energy surged as she grabbed Green Arrow by the shoulder, forcing him down to his knees. "Mortals never learn from history," she said softly, her voice cold but laced with pity. "You fight a goddess, Oliver. You stand no chance."

Hawk girl and her counterpart couldn't believe their eyes as they charged at Raven. Diana thought of Green Arrow as no threat as she wanted to move to protect her goddess but Raven smiled darkly and called for Diana to hold Oliver as she swapped out with Diana and headed towards the winged flying duo who charged at her.

Shazam smiled and dove in to join them but even he with some divine energy within could tell something was wrong and backed for a moment and in that moment a black cloud followed by a cosmic wave engulfed Hawk girl and Hawkman. Nothing was heard but when the black cloud cleared Raven was holding two limp winged bodies and immediately Shazam knew the difference between him and Raven as he looked at her descending slowly, paralyzed in fear. It was so fast and silent the way she took them out, would he really stand a chance against her?

"It didn't have to come to this." Raven said dropping their bodies into a dark portal below her without even looking at it but kept her eyes on Shazam.

Shazam knew what he had to do as he got down on one knee with his head bowed. Never before had he faced absolute power and divinity at the same time. He had been in hopeless situations but this was one where, if Raven wished it, she could sever his connection. This was the wisdom of Solomon telling him to yield quietly or else he risks losing everything with no chance of getting them back. Everything was laid bare before her and he knew it. Only someone who has assimilated or is assimilating with the container they call their universe can manipulate it's contents freely.

Green Arrow couldn't believe what he was seeing. He always knew the world was unfair but had he been born with powers, he was sure things wouldn't end up this way. The way natural born super humans behave is rather carefree in the eyes of Green Arrow who had faced life and death multiple times and belived if it were him that was blessed by Shazam, he would end things, hence why he screamed at Shazam to fight back even though those screams fell on deaf ears. But Diana just held Oliver in place.

Green Arrow struggled against her grip, his muscles straining, but Diana's power was absolute. Black Canary charged toward Diana, screaming in fury, but Diana caught her effortlessly by the hair, yanking her to the ground with a brutal force that left Canary gasping for breath.

"Dinah… no…" Oliver whispered, his heart breaking as he saw the woman he loved so easily subdued.

Diana glanced between the two of them and chuckled darkly. "For defying goddess Raven, you will pay with your lives."

At this moment, Shazam, who had already surrendered, stood at a distance. His eyes were wide with terror, having felt the destruction of Hawkgirl's and Hawkman's reincarnation cycle by Raven's devastating cosmic wave earlier. Their souls had been wiped from existence, a fate that sent shivers down his spine. "Please… no…" Shazam pleaded, his voice cracking. "Spare him." He could tell what wicked plans Diana had cooked up just now.

Diana tilted her head slightly, as though considering his plea, but her divine energy tightened around Black Canary. "Do it," she whispered, compelling Canary to use her own voice against Green Arrow.

Tears streamed down Black Canary's face as she struggled to resist, but Diana's compulsion was too strong. "I'm sorry," she choked out, her body shaking with uncontrollable sobs.

Green Arrow gave her a small, reassuring smile, though his heart ached. "It's alright… Dinah. At least I'll hear your beautiful voice one last time…"

Unable to hold back any longer, Black Canary screamed, her voice bursting forth with raw, destructive power. The soundwave ripped through Green Arrow's body, his eardrums shattering, blood pouring from his nose, mouth, and eyes. He crumpled to the ground, lifeless, his body unable to withstand the sheer force of her cry.

Black Canary collapsed, broken and devastated by what she had just done, her body wracked with uncontrollable sobbing. Diana dropped her grip on her and looked down at her without emotion.

Shazam could bear no more. The wisdom of Solomon urged him that he could do this and still find a way later to fight his enemies but his rage overcame his fear of his life and wisdom he was blessed with. In a fit of desperation, he shouted the name that would save him. "SHAZAM!" Lightning struck from the sky, and in a flash of light, he vanished.

As much as he was hot-blooded, at the last second he chose wisely to retreat rather than to face certain defeat or worse the end of his existence.

Diana moved to pursue him, it didn't matter which plane of existence he went to, Diana was a different being now and could easily track him down and kill him if she wanted but Raven's voice, calm and commanding, echoed through the space. "Let him go. He's of no consequence."

'If there's one mistake many fallen gods have made, it is to underestimate their enemies. I hope we won't regret this.' Diana thought with a heavy sigh and watched Shazam's consciousness get transported at speeds faster than light through a separate dimension that she kept in mind for now.

Kyla-El, who had watched the scene unfold with a heavy heart, sighed deeply. She hadn't wanted any of this. She had hoped that the Justice League would surrender peacefully, without a fight. But now… she had no choice but to watch as those she once called allies were brought to their knees. She was no longer the person she once was but that didn't mean she didn't consider her former allies friends before.

She turned away, avoiding the judgmental gaze of Aquaman, who glared at her with disdain. "You were supposed to protect this world," he growled, his voice filled with venom. "Now look at what you've become."

Kyla-El's hands tightened into fists, but she said nothing, her heart heavy with guilt. This was the path she had chosen.

Meanwhile, Zatanna stood paralyzed by the sheer brutality of what had just occurred. She had been a fool to think they could ever stand a chance against Raven. Her magic had proven futile against Kyla-El, whom she taught was still weak to magic, her betrayal meaningless in the face of Raven's absolute power.

With a simple thought, Raven opened a portal before her. "Zatanna, Black Canary… your punishment awaits," she said coldly. "But first… you'll learn the price of defiance."

Raven extended her hand, reaching into the underworld with her divine power, and within seconds, she pulled Green Arrow's soul back into existence. He appeared before them, disoriented and weak, his body nothing more than a spectral form.

Raven's voice was low but commanding. "You will not escape me, Oliver. Death is no release from my power." She sent his soul spiralling back into the underworld with a warning, his existence now bound to her will.

Zatanna gasped in horror, realizing that no one—not even in death—could escape Raven's control. She felt Raven's cold hand on her shoulder, pulling her toward the portal. "You defied me, Zatanna," Raven said softly. "And for that, you will suffer."

Black Canary, still reeling from what she had done, said nothing as she was dragged through the portal alongside Zatanna, her body trembling.

Raven turned her attention back to Diana and Kyla-El, her eyes glowing with satisfaction. "The Justice League has fallen," she declared. "And now, the world will fall in line."

Far away in the vastness of space, Raven's astral form clashed with the towering figure of Nabu, the true essence of Dr. Fate. Their battle shook the very fabric of the cosmos, stars trembling as they exchanged blows of unimaginable power.

Nabu smirked as he gained the upper hand, sending Raven's avatar crashing into the void. "You should have minded your own business, Raven," he sneered. "You could have ruled for a time, but now… it's over."

But as Nabu stood over what he thought was Raven's defeated form, he heard something strange—laughter. He looked down and saw Raven's form melt away like stardust, revealing that he had been fighting a mere projection all along. But that wouldn't be right to call what he fought a mere projection for Nabu was no 'mere' opponent either, he was someone was cosmically aware and had such great powers that only a fraction of it can be used in his vessel on earth. What he fought was only a phantom projection from the Dark Realm carrying some of Raven's cosmic energy.

Suddenly, he found himself trapped in the giant palm of Raven's true form, her essence shimmering like stars. Her voice echoed all around him. "You think I'm just now beginning to conquer the universe?" she asked, amusement lacing her words. "I've already conquered it. The only galaxy left untouched is the one Earth resides in. I wanted to take my time."

Nabu's arrogance vanished, and he knelt in surrender, feeling the overwhelming force of Raven's power. "No…" he whispered, realizing he was completely at her mercy.

The difference between mortals and beings as powerful as Nabu when facing an opponent in such a fight is that mortals can pull off a miracle to survive dire constraints. But as a higher being, you create your own miracles and if they aren't enough to go against their opponent it would be wise to flee if they can or surrender rather than risk complete destruction with no afterlife to reincarnate except if they are fundamental concept their universe can't function without and one of the very few applicants that fit that category would be Darkseide and not Nabu.

Raven's smile was dark and dangerous. "Now you see. But don't worry—I won't destroy you. I'll just absorb more of you until you're no more than a shadow of your former self."

With that, Raven's cosmic hand closed around Nabu, draining his essence. His power dwindled until he was nothing more than a lesser deity, a fraction of his original might. He bowed fully, his spirit broken as Raven allowed him to live—albeit an entity no longer capable of challenging her.
