Chapter 6- survival

The old man who stood in front of the youths gave off an aura of unquestionable strength. His eyes were sharp as blades, and the pressure emanating from his body made the surroundings seem oppressive. His every move was calculated and precise, and his presence was like an unbeatable mountain, an imposing wall that could not be ignored. When his eyes swept over the youths, everyone felt a crushing weight, as if their very existence was being judged. The weaker ones trembled involuntarily under the intense gaze of that man, as if the air around them had become thick, making even breathing a difficult task. His deep and authoritative voice cut through the silence that had formed between the youths, causing them to automatically straighten up. "The test will be as follows… You will be stationed in a forest controlled by the sect." The old man's voice seemed to vibrate in the air, each word reverberating with absolute power, making the hearts of the youths race. "There are exactly one thousand youths who want to become disciples of the Immortal Fist Sect. But... only those who survive for two days in the forest will be able to enter the sect."

The young people around exchanged nervous glances. The test was not just a test of strength, but of survival, and this made it clear that it would not be an easy task. The old man continued, his voice now more incisive: "There will be a scoring system that will rank each of you, from number one thousand to the first place."

"And, as expected, there will be rewards for the first place," he said, almost with an enigmatic smile, as if he knew that the temptation of the rewards would be the final motivation for everyone to risk themselves to the limit.

The atmosphere grew tense, and the eyes of the young people began to shine with a new fire of determination, mixed with a slight apprehension. The old man's words had a profound effect on them, showing that the true nature of the test was beginning to reveal itself.

"The test begins now," the old man announced.

In the blink of an eye, everything changed. The youths, who had previously been standing on solid ground, were suddenly teleported into the dark and dangerous forest. Wang Lin felt a slight dizziness before his surroundings began to distort. What was once an open field had now become a dense forest, filled with tall trees and thick bushes. The sound of unfamiliar creatures echoed in the distance, and the air was filled with the smell of dampness and earth, as well as something else… something wild, dangerous. He blinked, trying to adapt to his new surroundings, his heart pounding. The feeling of being watched wouldn't go away. Something was there, lurking, ready to test them. "Survive… for two days," Wang Lin muttered to himself, his eyes narrowing as his mind began to prepare for the challenge. The sound of a notification echoed in Wang Lin's mind, and a familiar feeling coursed through his body. He had gotten used to the system, but this time the feeling was more intense. As if he was forced to confront his own nature and the challenges that lay ahead.

NEW MISSIONS AVAILABLE

MISSION 1 – SURVIVE FOR TWO DAYS AND ENTER THE SECT

REWARD – ???????

MISSION 2 – KILL 20 BODY REFINEMENT STAGE BEASTS

REWARD – BREAKTHROUGH TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF BODY REFINEMENT

The missions appeared before his eyes, and Wang Lin's heart raced. He had already expected survival to be an essential challenge, but the second mission… was a tempting invitation.

Killing 20 Body Refinement Stage beasts would be no easy task, but the reward… the promise of a direct breakthrough to Level 7 of Body Refinement was too enticing to ignore. He knew that by reaching this level, his advantage over others would become unparalleled. This was a rare opportunity for an explosive breakthrough, one that could change the course of his cultivation forever.

However, the Body Refinement stage beasts were formidable forces, with hardened bodies and deadly abilities. Wang Lin took a deep breath, feeling the weight of his decision.

"Survival is the priority… but if I can… kill these beasts, I can make a huge leap in my power." The thought made his blood boil, and he felt the familiar flame of ambition rise within him. "I can do it. I will do it."

The distant sound of beasts and the sharp wind around him seemed to intensify his emotions. The surroundings were no longer just a forest; they were a battlefield. He would not only have to survive, but fight, hunt, and face the horrors of the wild jungle itself.

"I need to find a strategy…" Wang Lin thought, his gaze firm and determined. "Surviving, killing beasts… a test of survival and strength. I am stronger than many here, and the reward is worth the risk."

With these thoughts, Wang Lin began to walk, his eyes attentive to every movement around him. He didn't know what awaited him, but he was ready to do whatever it took to earn his place in the sect… and beyond.

The forest was immersed in a heavy silence, as if nature awaited the imminent confrontation. Wang Lin moved calmly, his senses alert. His fists, hard and ruthless, were ready for battle. He would not use blades or sophisticated weapons. His brute strength, cultivated with ruthless discipline in Body Refinement, would be his only tool. He watched the beast in the distance, a monstrous bear with thick fur, its muscles bulging as if it had been forged from stone. Its claws, sharp and imposing, were capable of tearing through anything with ease. But none of this intimidated Wang Lin. He knew that true strength was not just in the muscles, but in how he used them. He was the product of years of training. His body was his weapon. The beast sniffed the air, alerted by his presence. Its eyes locked on Wang Lin with blind fury. The bear, like a storm, charged forward without hesitation, its weight causing the ground to shake with every step. Wang Lin stood still for a moment, the muscles in his body tense. He was waiting. When the beast made its first move, leaping toward him with astonishing speed, Wang Lin didn't retreat. He charged forward. With a roar, the beast swung its claws down furiously, trying to tear apart everything in its path. But Wang Lin, using his primal strength, jumped to the side, his body moving like a spring. With a devastating blow, he used the impact of the movement to stretch out his arm and land a punch straight at the beast's side, feeling the resistance of its steel-like body. The sound of the impact was like thunder in the forest, and the beast momentarily faltered, but it didn't fall. It quickly turned around, charging again with a furious strike, its claws slicing through the air. Wang Lin screamed with rage and energy. He had no time to waste. The beast had no intelligence, only brute strength and instinct, and he was going to use that against it. Wang Lin rushed forward, ignoring the imminent danger, and with almost supernatural speed, he threw a crushing punch straight at the beast's jaw. The feeling of its bones breaking under his fist was like music to its ears. The beast retreated, stunned, but Wang Lin didn't give it a chance to recover. He charged forward again, showing no mercy. With a ferocious roar, the beast charged toward him once more, its claws ready to deliver the final blow. But Wang Lin, with one precise movement, ducked and, using the strength of his legs, threw himself forward with all his strength. His fists connected with the beast's chest in a devastating impact. The sound of bones breaking and the pressure of the punch were enough to make the beast let out a muffled scream of pain. Before the creature could react, Wang Lin, with one last growl of rage, used his fists with all his strength to deliver a final blow, smashing the beast's skull into the ground. The sound of bones cracking was followed by absolute silence. The beast fell, its body tense and limp. Wang Lin backed away, breathing heavily, his hands trembling slightly from the intensity of the fight. The creature's warm blood covered his hands and face, but he didn't seem to care. He looked at the fallen creature, its body full of scars and pain, and allowed himself a small smile.

"That was just the first," he said softly, his expression impassive, his eyes as cold as steel. He wasn't satisfied. Not yet.

Wang Lin's goal was clear. He didn't fight for fun, not for honor. He fought to become the strongest, to dominate everything and everyone around him. Every strike, every battle was one step closer to his final destination. He was ruthless, and nothing, not even this beast, could stop him from achieving the power he desired.
