"Thank you so much! If it wasn't for your party little old Betty would have been kidnapped as well!" Jacinto said while Tenpao stored his twin swords back to their sheat.
Just after Tenpao saved the night the owner of the bovines arrived running, panting like a fluffy dog on a summer run when he finally reached them. "I really can't- can't thank you guys enough. Phew."
Lulu stepped forward, in her arms, Dwelm was being princess carried. "No problemo! We're just glad to help!" Lulu said.
It was at this moment that Jacinto took out a bag full of coins, "Here. It's yours."
Tenpao was also on carrying duty as Bushy seemed to have broken something, so he was giving her a piggyback, and at some point, she had fallen asleep with a smile on her face. Therefore no one had the ability to accept the coins. No one normal, that is. Lulu reached down and bit the coin bag, carrying it in her mouth. "MMfhanxs."
"The quest said only ten bronze coins?" Tenpao said.
"Ten bronz- Ten bronze?! Heck no, I asked for it to be ten silver!" Jacinto stomped on the ground, "So that is why no adventurer ever came over, It all makes sense now!" Then the goblin bit into his hat, "Ooh, once I get my hands on the guildmaster I will- uh." He turned around to the huge weapon on the field, "What do I do with this?"
Dwelm's image momentarily overlapped with that of a bowl for Lulu as she dropped the bags onto him, "Pampkin will take it tomorrow morning," Lulu said, adjusting the dwarf on her paw, "It'll sell well at Pine."
Jacinto nodded, "Then, I just want to thank you folk again."
"Don't worry, and if he comes back don't mind to come looking for us." Tenpao said.
Jacinto nodded with a smile, then went on his merry way home. Tenpao and Lulu waited for a little - since they were going in the same direction - and then began threading the path home together, the sound of Tenpao's boots resounded over the cloudless sky, the moon was full and so was the sky, a canvas of stars sparkling with mystic and magical glee, some might even notice a few stars moving tonight...

Tenpao's house was on top of a small hill where other nicer-looking houses were, and Lulu's honest opinion was that wasn't a house, that was a frickin' mansion! The house had a big lawn, a big gate to the lawn, two stores and it looked twice bigger than the houses of the common folk of Oddtown. "You even have a fountain! Da heck, why are you an adventure?!" Lulu said.
But for the old man Tenpao, the answer was simple. "To do some good for the world."
"Daww. Can Pampkin live here? Pampkin has no residence in Oddtown." Lulu spoke while rubbing her paws, Tenpao sighed but nodded nonetheless, "Also, if it isn't much to ask, what is your magical affinity? You moved so fast and struck so strong, it couldn't be simple mana enhancement!" Lulu's tail wagged as she touched shoulders with Tenpao.
Moved forwards, if only to get away from the dog smell irradiating from Lulu. The gates opened automatically once they were close enough, "It's memory. That's my magic." Tenpao said. Both beings slowly walked towards the house, the sound of swishing on the leaves continued as Lulu's tail didn't find an incentive to stop. "So, how did the elf perform?"
"Awesome! She unlocked a new spell even!" Lulu walked a bit forward of Tenpao then stopped, striking a heroic pose, "Pampkin and Dwelm were like: Oh no, too many to hit! And she was like: Die evil green omelets!"
"Green omelets?"
"They looked like bad omelets." Lulu said and with quick nods.
Tenpao coughed, "Anyway, what does her new spell do?"
Lulu stretched both arms to the sky, "A biiig dumpling that increases the weight of everything inside!"
"Hm." Tenpao opened the door, the main room immediately lit up - the marvel of sensory-based runes connected to magical powered lapis lazuli, something only a crazy man would buy. Two entryways led to the living room and the kitchen below, with a stair for the bedrooms and bathrooms above. "Feel free to take anything from the kitchen."
Lulu immediately dropped the dwarf to the ground, Tenpao flinched. "Will do!" The gnoll turned into a dark flash going into the living room, then turned around to go towards the kitchen after realizing it was the wrong direction, every single room beside the bedrooms had sensory-based lights, something that Lulu squeaked as she stepped in and out of the kitchen staring at the light turning on and off.
Another sigh came from Tenpao as he ascended the stairs, there were two bathrooms upstairs and four rooms. He opened a door right in front of him, inside there was an empty room with a few spiders partying on the ceiling, and a nice double bed with an unreasonably expensive cotton blanket, besides that, it was pretty empty - no cabinets for small items and no wardrobe either, much less a lamb for late night dwellings.
"THERE'S NO FOOD, NOOOOOO!" Lulu seemed to have uncovered the truth, Tenpao chuckled and gently put Bushy on the bed, by face alone, Bushy could be his granddaughter if he had married. Another sigh escaped Tenpao as he went downstairs to retrieve Dwelm, his only friend left on this earth. He was quick to find Lulu staring at him from a corner.
"Dwelm is a nice fellow, isn't he?" Lulu said while picking him up.
Tenpao nodded, there was no dwarf like him "Come." He lead Lulu upstairs and pointed to a room, she promptly lifted her feet and opened the knob with it. Tenpao shook his head. It didn't take less than a few seconds for the gnoll to come back.
"Do I get a fancy bedroom too?" Lulu asked, Tenpao pointed to the room on the other side of Dwelm's. Lulu hopped to the door and waved at Tenpao with a smile before slamming it shut.
Now it was his turn. The old man walked towards his room, opened the door, and slowly closed it. He was alone now, but at least he had taken a step forward, with his new companions his redemption became less of a dream and more of a reality soon to be realized. Tenpao wouldn't leave this world before he could accomplish each dream of his fallen subordinates.
