"Chibaku Tensei!"
With a synchronized low shout, the grandfather and grandson duo unleashed their technique.
The miniature black sphere in the hand of Susanoo shot upward.
"Ω?! Nani?!"
The enormous dragon's golden eyes widened in disbelief, its massive body momentarily frozen mid-flight.
But it was already too late for the White Snake Sage to react.
The black sphere, now ascending to a certain height, suddenly emitted an overwhelming gravitational force, frantically pulling in everything below it.
"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"
The ground began to rupture, and rocks of all sizes were torn from the earth, drawn upward by the sphere's irresistible pull.
In moments, they became part of the sphere's expanding shell.
"What terrifying gravity!" The White Snake Sage exclaimed, alarmed.
Even the colossal dragon, nearly a kilometer long, was ensnared by the gravitational pull and slowly being drawn toward the black sphere.
"Damn it! This gravity is still intensifying!"
Under the immense force, the dragon was immobilized, unable to resist the relentless pull.
The White Snake Sage made a swift decision, clapping her hands together to unleash a secret technique.
"Senjutsu: Dragon Roar!"
The dragon's massive form abruptly shrank by a significant margin. Opening its maw wide, it unleashed a deafening roar at the black sphere above.
"Roooooaaaar!"
The sound was a harrowing mix of howling winds and a bellowing ox, its tone deep, resonant, and brimming with majesty.
The roar generated an unimaginably powerful soundwave, hurtling toward the core of the Chibaku Tensei.
"Dammit!" Obito groaned, clutching his ears in pain.
Even the residual force of the Dragon Roar shook Obito and Madara within the cockpit of their Susanoo, causing their blood to churn violently.
The sheer power of this technique was evident.
"Zzzzzt... pop!"
The black sphere rippled under the impact of the Dragon Roar, waves spreading across its surface.
With the sound of a bubble bursting, the black sphere disintegrated into nothingness.
"Rooooaaar!"
Freed from its constraints, the dragon, now 800 meters away, lashed its tail and charged toward the duo once more.
"Obito, assist Grandpa in summoning the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path!" Madara commanded in a deep voice.
Obito's expression turned serious as he watched the approaching dragon.
"The space here is sealed—I'm afraid..."
Madara interrupted firmly, "The Demonic Statue is an exceptional entity. With our combined power, we should be able to summon it here!"
There was no time for hesitation.
Obito glanced at Madara's resolute expression and nodded heavily.
"Understood!"
The two merged their chakra and ocular power once more.
"Summoning: Demonic Statue of the Outer Path!"
The White Snake Sage's face paled as she sensed a powerful force abruptly tearing through the barrier sealing the Ryūchi Cave.
In the next instant, she saw the full form of the summoned entity.
"Boom!"
With a resounding crash, a monstrous statue with a grotesque visage emerged, roaring menacingly at the dragon.
"Is that... the Divine Tree?!"
A familiar scent reached her nostrils, and the White Snake Sage's expression twisted in shock, dredging up memories from a millennium ago.
"Impossible... this can't be!"
For the first time, a trace of doubt crept into her mind—she might lose this fight.
The dragon halted its attack, circling in the air as it carefully observed the Demonic Statue.
"No... this isn't a complete Divine Tree. Its essence seems to be missing a significant portion!"
Realizing this, the White Snake Sage's eyes gleamed with excitement, and a spark of greed ignited in her heart.
"If I can defeat these two, I might even obtain the Divine Tree's power!"
Driven by ambition, she commanded the dragon to charge at Obito and Madara once more.
"Huff... huff..."
Obito gasped for breath, glancing at Madara.
The forceful summoning of the Demonic Statue had left both of them in poor condition.
"Grandpa, I'll back you up. Leave the rest to me!"
Madara didn't reply, his sharp gaze fixed on the dragon.
Though they had successfully summoned the Demonic Statue, they had only one chance to strike.
If their next move failed to create a decisive advantage, their defeat would be inevitable.
In a flash, the distance between the three massive entities closed to less than a hundred meters.
The White Snake Sage smirked coldly, once again unleashing her earlier technique.
"Senjutsu: Dragon Roar!"
The dragon's maw opened wide, releasing a deafening roar directly at the duo.
"Roooooaaaar!"
The devastating soundwave ripped through the air, shattering their Susano'o layer by layer.
"Urgh!"
Obito and Madara spat blood as the shockwave dislocated their internal organs.
Seizing the opportunity, the dragon bypassed the Demonic Statue and lunged toward the two falling from the sky.
"Obito, now!" Madara shouted.
"I understand!" Obito replied, his voice resolute.
With their combined will, the Demonic Statue's five eyes shifted, locking onto the dragon with a malevolent glare.
In the blink of an eye, ten massive chains shot from the statue's mouth.
"Swish! Swish! Swish!"
Given the dragon's enormous size and proximity, the chains easily ensnared it.
"What?!"
The White Snake Sage's anger and frustration surged as she tried to command the dragon to break free.
"Clang! Clang! Clang!"
The chains rattled violently, but their connection remained unyielding.
The Demonic Statue's sealing chains were designed specifically to bind chakra-based entities.
And the dragon, being entirely composed of senjutsu chakra, was inherently vulnerable to them.
Seeing the dragon temporarily restrained, Obito and Madara quickly poured their remaining chakra into restoring their Susanoo.
The White Snake Sage cursed under her breath.
"Dammit! I had the upper hand just moments ago!"
Realizing the balance of power was shifting, she made a swift decision.
If the dragon remained bound, the Divine Tree would continue draining its senjutsu chakra, potentially allowing her enemies to recover.
"Release!"
With a thought, the dragon disintegrated into seven or eight smaller light dragons, breaking free from the chains.
The smaller dragons circled in the air before converging back toward the White Snake Sage.
"Obito, we can't let her regroup!" Madara growled.
As he spoke, his blue Susanoo rose, twin blades slicing toward the light dragons at the center.
This was the White Snake Sage's domain, and natural energy was abundant. She had fought tirelessly without any significant depletion.
If the light dragons managed to fuse again, all the progress they'd made would be for nothing.
"I understand!" Obito responded, his green Susanoo soaring upward.
Each hand hurled a spinning shuriken infused with Kamui.
"Kamui: Shuriken!"
Obito watched the shuriken with bated breath, his heart racing.
"Whether we win this battle or not... depends on my little trick."
