After stepping through the gate, Rex and Zoe emerged from the glowing rift, their gaze sweeping over the camp. The familiar faces of their personals, as well as the others who had remained behind, turned toward them. Some were relived while some were curious whereas a few were wary however, all of these were focused on the group, especially the two figures, Rex and Zoe.
Among the crowd was the researcher, the very one that gave them a lecture as well as the head researcher from Zoe's camp. His face was filled with guilt, his eyes darting around as if trying to avoid their gaze.
Rex, noted the researcher's discomfort, but he said nothing. Instead, he gestured to his personals to settle the group down, directing them to their positions.
As they moved to prepare for the next steps, one of Rex's personals, who had been stationed here, came up to him and whispered something in his ear. Rex nodded slightly, a smirk crossing his face as he processed the information.
