Kassandra remained frozen in place, unable to move due to the immense pressure of the aura radiated by the Wyrm. Shock overwhelmed her mind, making it hard to breathe, while her entire body felt bound by invisible chains.
Ahead of her, the giant Wyrm slowly opened its mouth wide. Inside, a whirl of wind began to form, spinning faster and faster. The sound of it hissed loudly, and the sharp blades of wind within the vortex gleamed like perfectly honed swords.
Kassandra's eyes widened as she realized what was about to happen. The attack was not just deadly—she knew, in her current condition, there was no way to avoid it without acting swiftly.
Breathing heavily, she forced her mind to focus. The parts of her body still blocked by the Wyrm's aura started to be controlled by force. It felt like forcing water through a small clogged gap, but she knew this was the only way to survive.
In an instant, her body reacted. The aura binding her shattered, and with a speed almost beyond her limits, Kassandra moved. She managed to dodge just as the Wyrm launched its attack.
BOOM!
A massive explosion occurred where she had been standing. The sharp wind struck the ground, creating a large scar that split the earth and toppled nearby trees. Wood splintered and debris flew everywhere.
However, Kassandra didn't completely avoid the attack. As she leaped away, one of the sharp wind blades grazed her shoulder. The pain pierced through her, making her almost lose her balance when she landed on the ground. Fresh blood poured from the deep wound, soaking the cloth clinging to her body.
Despite her magical foundation in the 8th level of the Spirit Realm, a single attack from a 4-star soul beast was enough to wound her severely. Now, how could she survive against such a powerful creature? Kassandra's mind was filled with anxiety and fear that kept disturbing her focus.
She glanced around, searching for Victor, but he was nowhere to be seen. Kassandra bit her lip, the bitter sting of the reality she faced cutting deep.
"So, he ran away, huh?" she thought bitterly. "What was I thinking, relying on a weak human like him? Foolish me, letting myself believe in him again like before. He hasn't changed at all."
With pain tearing at her body and heart, Kassandra gritted her teeth and forced herself to rise. Her gaze was sharp as steel, full of unshakable resolve. Yet, the Wyrm seemed to underestimate her, launching only a single large blade of wind, moving fast and cutting through the air with destructive force.
Kassandra stared unflinchingly. When the blade was almost upon her, she swung her sword, glowing with golden light. The impact of her strike sent the blade flying back, shooting with deadly precision toward the Wyrm's right eye. The attack hit perfectly.
A painful roar echoed through the forest, black blood spraying from the wounded eye of the Wyrm. Without wasting any time, Kassandra ran toward the creature, closing the distance at full speed. Once in range, she leaped high, her sword ready to stab the beast's head.
But the Wyrm suddenly let out a mighty roar. Its voice trembled the air and earth, shaking everything around it. Kassandra lost her balance, thrown violently to the ground by the shockwave. She stifled a scream as her eardrums throbbed in pain, her hands clutching her head.
Pain seared through every inch of her body, but giving up was not an option. Kassandra clenched her teeth and forced herself to rise, her body shaking violently. But as her eyes lifted, her heart nearly stopped. A massive shadow loomed over her— the Wyrm's colossal tail was coming at her, like an unstoppable guillotine.
Kassandra only had time to raise her sword in a futile defense. The attack was too fast, too powerful. The tail struck her brutally, slamming her body into the ground like a fragile doll.
CRACK!
The sound of her sword breaking echoed through the air, its shattered pieces flying off, creating sharp shards around her.
Her body hit the hard ground, her breath cut off as waves of pain spread relentlessly. Her vision blurred, fresh blood dripped slowly from the corner of her mouth, pooling on the earth now filled with dust and fragments of her sword.
Kassandra lay on the ground, her body covered in wounds and blood flowing from various parts. Her breath was heavy, and her gaze faded into the brink of despair. Amidst her blurry vision, she saw the Wyrm preparing to strike again. Its mouth began to open, and the deadly vortex of wind gathered with terrifying speed.
'Fuck...' she thought bitterly, realizing how slim her chances were to survive.
But before the attack could be launched—
BOOM!
A giant white object slammed into the Wyrm from above, creating a tremendous explosion that shook the earth. Dust and debris flew everywhere, completely obscuring Kassandra's vision. However, as if swept away by an unseen force, everything disappeared in an instant.
Before her stood a massive object, towering like a skyscraper, standing firm amidst the destruction.
Kassandra's eyes widened in disbelief, but more than that, the figure standing before the object made her blood run cold.
"Vic... tor..." she murmured quietly, almost inaudibly, full of disbelief.
With his signature smile, Victor walked forward, his aura radiating confidence. "You fought well, Kassandra. Now it's my turn," he said lightly.
"How can this be?" Kassandra asked, her voice trembling with the shock still overwhelming her mind.
Victor simply shrugged, his smile unwavering. "I'm a magus too."
Kassandra froze. Victor—the person she had always known as a second-generation heir who loved to indulge in pleasures—was a magus? It was hard for her to process this truth.
But before she could say more, a loud roar echoed from the Wyrm. Victor only glanced at it briefly, then snapped his fingers. An invisible energy bubble appeared, blocking the thunderous sound from disturbing them.
"I'll finish this quickly," he said, turning around. The Ruyi Jingu Bang had now shrunk again, hanging lightly in his grasp.
Before him, the severely wounded Wyrm began to rise with the last of its strength. Fury was evident in its single eye, while the killing aura it radiated felt like a storm, shaking the air around it.
Victor stepped forward calmly, his gaze full of certainty. The Wyrm opened its mouth wide, gathering a swirling vortex of wind that spun wildly inside. A few seconds later, sharp blades of wind shot out, hundreds of them, heading toward Victor with lethal speed.
The sound of the wind slashing echoed like the explosion of a giant sword tearing through the ground, creating a massive crater and destroying the trees in its path. However, as the dust began to cloud the view, the Wyrm looked around, trying to find signs of destruction in its opponent.
Suddenly, from behind the dust cloud, Victor emerged, leaping high into the air, far above the Wyrm's head. In an inverted position, his body radiated a glowing purple aura as the Mark of Divinity activated. He made a complex hand gesture, and immediately, a large purple rune appeared beneath the Wyrm.
Within seconds, the rune activated. An overwhelming gravitational pressure struck the Wyrm, forcing it to fall to the ground. The massive creature's body slammed into the earth, unable to move, though it continued to struggle against the force pressing down on it.
Victor, still in the air, made another hand gesture. This time, a giant red rune appeared beneath him, slowly spinning like a wheel of hell.
The Ruyi Jingu Bang in his hand began to glow, coated with stable yet explosive mana energy. With one decisive motion, Victor hurled the staff at the red rune. As it passed through the rune, the Ruyi Jingu Bang's speed surged a thousand times, transforming into a giant projectile that shot forward like a meteor, heading toward the trapped Wyrm's body beneath it.
BANG!
An incredible explosion echoed, shaking the forest for miles around. The shockwave was so powerful that it felled trees and destroyed everything in its path.
From miles away, the sound of the explosion was clearly audible, resonating throughout the forest. Some people who happened to be in the area immediately felt the tremor.
"What was that? Such a huge explosion... could it be a bomb?" one of them exclaimed, his face filled with concern.
"It sounds like there's a fight in the forest. Damn, the sound reached this far," another added, his eyes scanning the direction of the noise warily.
"That's terrifying... feels like it's none of our business," a woman said, slowly backing away.
They all exchanged glances, realizing that the power they were sensing was beyond their comprehension. Without thinking further, they decided to move away from the source of the sound, avoiding any further potential danger.

Meanwhile, back at the battle site, Kassandra, who had managed to distance herself from the explosion's epicenter, gazed at the scene before her with an expression of disbelief. Everything felt like an impossible dream.
In the distance, a giant staff stood 100 meters tall, piercing through the body of the massive Wyrm, creating a large hole in the ground beneath it. The earth around it cracked, and black blood flowed heavily from the Wyrm's body, forming a terrifying pool.
At the top of the staff, Victor stood gracefully, looking like a god of destruction who had just descended into the mortal realm. With a simple motion, he manipulated the giant staff to shrink back to its normal size. As the Ruyi Jingu Bang returned to his grasp, Victor landed smoothly on the ground, as if what had just happened was a routine matter for him.
Before him, the lifeless body of the Wyrm looked horrific. The creature's body had a massive hole, its blood flowing relentlessly, painting a tragic and brutal end for the 4-star soul beast.
Victor sighed briefly, gazing at the scene with a calm expression. He himself was slightly surprised that he had been able to defeat such a powerful creature so easily. However, a 4-star Wyrm was still within his capabilities. If it had been a 5-star soul beast, the battle would have been much more difficult. Moreover, the new gravity magic he combined with the Ruyi Jingu Bang earlier had proven highly effective, enhancing his potential as a magus.
In this world, soul beasts were classified into seven tiers based on the number of stars on their foreheads. Typically, 1-star and 2-star soul beasts didn't have star markings unless they came from a special bloodline. This massive Wyrm was equivalent to a magus at the peak of the Origin realm.
"Victor..." a weak voice sounded from behind him.
Victor turned around to see Kassandra limping toward him. Her body was covered in wounds, and blood was still flowing from her shoulder. Her face appeared pale, but her eyes were fixed on him with a mix of disbelief and awe.
He smiled casually. "How was my attack? Pretty effective, right? I killed this creature with just one strike," he said lightly, as though talking about something trivial.
However, Kassandra's expression remained filled with confusion and shock. "But... how could that be?" she asked in a near-whisper, as if struggling to accept the reality before her.
Victor walked closer, his gaze soft yet full of confidence. "Remember when I decided to end our relationship unilaterally? That was for this reason. Over the past three years, I've been studying the forbidden techniques of the Archfindor family. And, well... here's the result," he explained calmly.
Kassandra's eyes widened at his confession. Forbidden techniques? The Archfindor family? All this information hit her like a tidal wave.
Victor continued, his voice softening slightly. "I know this might sound selfish to you, but I had to do it. I wanted to become stronger, much stronger than before. And now... you see the results for yourself."
Kassandra fell silent, her heart filled with mixed emotions. All the questions and hatred she had been holding onto disappeared in an instant, replaced by admiration laced with bitterness.
"At... what realm are you now?" she finally asked, her voice trembling.
"Sage realm," Victor replied without hesitation, his voice full of confidence.
Kassandra smiled faintly, but it was a bitter smile. The person she had always considered weak was now far beyond her, so high that it felt unreachable. Her body trembled violently, both from the pain of her wounds and the shocking truth she had just heard.
Her body could no longer bear the overwhelming emotional and physical burden. Her vision started to blur, her legs trembled, and finally...
"Victor..." she whispered softly before her body collapsed to the ground.
In a swift motion, Victor reached out, his hands steady as he caught her effortlessly before she hit the earth.
