"Master, what do you plan to do next? If you wish to go to that forest wouldn't it be easier to fly ahead?"
Hikari patted her dragon. "What would happen if we failed the quest in that case?"
"Does a failed quest even matter? It's just an adventurer's guild."
As the dragon snuggled up next to her master in the carriage, Hikari had an idea of what the girl wanted. Kurayami simply wanted to be alone with Hikari.
"Besides, that cat forced this quest on you. Why should you do anything that they say anyway?"
Hikari pet the dragon's head. Her hand felt the base of Kurayami's horn. It was a unique sensation, but the elf liked how it felt. The horn was hard but smooth.
"I understand your perspective. However, we're almost there anyway. How about this…I won't let things like this happen as much anymore. And when we get to the forest, we will spend some time together."
Kurayami smiled and hugged Hikari's arm. "Thank you, Master."
