Dundertown.
Nearly entering the town, Glenn noticed a large group of officers patrolling outside, which was a bit unusual.
Has something happened in the town of Dunder lately? It looks like it is still not a small matter ... Glenn just stopped and watched for a while, then continued to move forward.
A few constables who saw him immediately moved forward and asked in an intimidating tone, "Stop, what's for?"
"Pulling hogs into town to sell." Glenn stepped aside to answer.
The lead constable gave a wink and the rest leaned in unison to pull the cart for inspection.
They pushed the dead pig around, some taking out daggers to peel back some of the skin and flesh to check for any abnormalities inside.
Glenn just stood off to the side and fiddled with it however they wanted, he didn't really care, it wasn't like it affected the quality of the meat.
Several police officers were sweating profusely for a while, but in the end, they could only give up, probably because they were tired or because they really couldn't check anything.
They retreated, shaking their heads at the lead officer to indicate that there was nothing out of the ordinary.
That's when they let Glenn through.
Glenn walked over to the pulling cart and casually righted the black hog with a few swipes of his hand, watching the jaws of several of the constables drop.
As he watched the young man pull the pig into town, one of the constables exclaimed, "He looks skinny and tall, but he's really strong!"
...
This time the business has been much cooler, Glenn is not surprised, if every business is like the previous two, then the town's wealth will not be finished by him in a few months?
But even with this much cooler business, it was still too much more than the average commoner's family income.
His attitude remained warm, and he soon became acquainted with a few returning customers, joking and laughing for a while in between buying and selling.
Sending another customer away, Glenn heard a familiar voice.
"Mr. Glenn!"
Leila ran from nowhere, her skirt in two hands, her delicate little face with surprise.
"Miss Leila, long time no see, don't you have to go to school today?" Glenn wiped his blood-stained hands with a rag and smiled.
"Yes, my friends wanted to come out and hang out, and I was pulled out by them, so I had to accompany them." Leila smiled brightly, her eyebrows arched, before marveling, "Are you selling meat? That's a well-paying business!"
"There are quite a few animals around the town I live in, just so I can call in and sell them." Glenn explained.
"That's not bad." Leila sincerely admired, and suddenly apologized a little, "Will my being here affect your business?"
Seeing this girl's clueless look, Glenn found it amusing, he waved his hand and said, "It's fine, it doesn't really affect, don't be so formal."
When the two were about to say something else, another voice came from behind.
"Leila, is this gentleman a friend of yours?"
The one who spoke was a red-haired, slightly chubby teenager who was walking with two men and a woman towards Glenn's side.
"These are my classmates and friends, Poke, Meir, Deamela and Pernus."
Leila saw the visitors and immediately introduced them to Glenn.
She introduced her friends again, "Guys, this is Mr. Glenn, a very kind gentleman."
"Hello Mr. Glenn." The three boys did greet each other politely.
Only the young blonde girl named Pernus kept her mouth and nose covered and her eyes to the side, not saying a word, keeping her distance from Glenn's stall.
Geren nodded in response, and gave the blonde girl another special look, smiling meaningfully.
Leila was a little embarrassed, "Sorry, Mr. Glenn, Pernus is rather eccentric, please don't be offended."
Glenn was just about to show that he didn't care, but the other girl walked over to the blonde girl when she finished, tugged on the skirt of the other girl's dress, pulled her a little ways away, and whispered, "Pernus, you're being rude! Quickly apologize to Mr. Glenn!"
However, Pernus turned around and advised Leila, "Leila, my good friend, how could you hang out with such a person? Look at him, all dirty and this pungent smell of blood, how disgusting is it? Let's just get out of here and ignore him."
All these words shocked Leila, she couldn't believe that these words could come out of this friend's mouth.
Although Pernus is a noble, but for these friends of theirs are very kind, Leila thought that the other party is not the same as those high eyed noble young ladies, but now it seems ...
Her face reddened and she was infuriated, she really couldn't accept Pernus' remarks just now.
Although Gren was farther away, his super hearing allowed him to take in the conversation.
Seeing that the small boat of friendship was about to capsize, he spoke out to interrupt the conversation between the two little girls:
"Leila, where's that gluttonous little girl? Is she not with you?"
Leila was about to have a fit, when she suddenly heard Glenn's question, so she could only puff up and glare at her best friend, turned around and ran back to Glenn's stall, while the latter felt puzzled.
The whole time, the three teenagers who followed were dumbfounded and uncertain.
"Mr. Glenn, I must apologize again on Pernus' behalf, she wasn't originally like this."
Leila was just about to bow to Glenn when she was stopped by the other.
"Come on, your mom just raised you too well, why are you always so polite? I'm not going to get angry with a little girl."
Perhaps out of respect for her benefactor or something else, Leila always subconsciously wanted to remain polite and reserved in front of Gren.
Leila, who was being held up, blushed a little as she embarrassedly said, "I'm really sorry."
Not far away, Pernus, who was still covering her mouth and nose and looking off to the side, changed color when she heard Gren call her a little girl, turned back her head and wanted to get angry, but held her tongue.
Gren noticed the blonde girl's actions, but only smiled inwardly.
Turning to Leila he asked, "Let's start by answering my earlier question, why isn't that little girl Bonnie with you guys?"
Leila's complexion flashed a trace of sadness, hesitantly spoke, "Bonnie she ... is not in a good mood, not willing to come out ..."
"Is it because of you ..." Glenn wanted to say is it because of your father, but felt it was inappropriate, and lightly coughed to change his tone, "Is it because of the danger you encountered that day?"
"Mr. Glenn, how do you know?" Leila showed a few moments of surprise.
"The constable came to me, can you not know?" Glenn spread his hands.
Hearing that the police officers had come to find Gren, Leila was a little worried, "They didn't give you a hard time, right?"
"No, just investigating the situation that day."
"That's good." Leila lightly patted her chest and lightly breathed a sigh of relief.
Seeing that someone came over to buy meat, Glenn entertained while continuing to ask, "Tell me, what happened to that little girl Bonnie? Was she scared and developed a psychological shadow, and hasn't slowed down until now?"
As the words fell, Leila showed her incredulity and her tone became a bit surprised, "Mr. Glenn you're right!"
