Right now, the flying fortress was still being held in place by Mewtwo's psychic grip.
Inside the vessel, Zero couldn't see anything outside—only the interior of the craft, shaking under invisible pressure.
But he wasn't out of options.
Hidden within this massive aircraft was a smaller, emergency escape pod. Without hesitation, Zero climbed aboard, his palm tightly clenching the last remaining Irregular Stone he had acquired from Newton Graceland.
Crack!
With a sharp sound, Zero crushed the stone in his hand.
Buzz—!
In front of him, a portal to the Reverse World tore open.
Without a second thought, Zero plunged into it with the pod!
His plan? Destroy the Reverse World to influence the Real World.
There was an enormous glacier nearby—one of Sinnoh's most stable and ancient natural structures. If he could find its Reverse World equivalent and damage it, the chaos would ripple outward.
Collapse the glacier, and every Pokémon beneath it—and every human in the cities beyond—would be doomed!
He wanted disaster. He wanted destruction.
As Zero vanished into the portal, Mewtwo finally completed his crushing psychic assault.
The aircraft exploded in midair with a thunderous blast, fire and metal shards flying everywhere.
And yet… not a single fragment reached the land below.
Mewtwo's psychic power had created a shield around the explosion—a boundary that bent space itself. With his ever-increasing level, Mewtwo could now reshape the environment around him at will.
The massive aircraft was reduced to smoldering debris.
Giratina—still floating in the air—had seen everything. It had felt itself being locked onto earlier… that weapon targeted it.
The energy used? It felt familiar… from the Reverse World itself.
Dawn, Anabel, and their Pokémon stood frozen in shock. Even Shaymin and its companions, flying nearby, stared with wide eyes.
Newton Graceland, who had emerged from the portal alongside Giratina, looked up at the charred remains of the ship.
"…He actually built it," he muttered, trembling. "He really built the machine I designed… but thank goodness it was destroyed. Otherwise, Giratina…"
Newton paled. The danger had been too real.
All this had unfolded in mere seconds.
Ash walked forward and patted Mewtwo's shoulder.
"Thanks, Mewtwo."
"Pika-chu!" Pikachu raised a little paw and waved toward Mewtwo with gratitude.
Mewtwo's eyes narrowed slightly. "Just now, inside my psychic domain, I sensed a strange anomaly. That man—he's still alive."
"What?" Ash was startled. "He survived that explosion?"
And then it clicked. Ash's mind raced back through the events of the original timeline.
Zero hadn't died—he must have entered the Reverse World… to destroy it!
Ash's interference had changed one disaster—Giratina's power wasn't drained this time—but it hadn't stopped the other.
"Screeeeeech—!"
Giratina let out a furious roar!
It felt it. Someone was destroying its world. The Reverse World—it was part of Giratina's existence.
And now? Someone dared to violate it?
That was unforgivable!
Giratina's form shimmered—shifting into its Origin Forme.
With a blast of wind and energy, it opened a portal and shot into the Reverse World!
"Wait—Ash, what just happened?" Dawn clutched Piplup, confusion written across her face. She and Anabel had already returned their Pokémon, sensing something was coming.
Ash didn't answer right away. Instead, he pointed toward a distant glacier.
"See that glacier?" he asked.
"That's the largest in the Sinnoh region," Anabel added. "It never melts, never moves. It actually expands a little every year."
"Exactly," Ash nodded grimly. "The person inside that aircraft… he's trying to destroy that glacier."
"What?!" Dawn and Anabel blurted out at the same time.
"If we don't stop him," Ash continued, "that entire ice mass will start moving toward us—and crush everything in its path. Towns, cities, and every living thing along the way."
…
Inside the Reverse World, Zero piloted his blade-rimmed escape pod through the distorted, gravity-defying space.
In the Reverse World, every landmark corresponded to something in the real one. It was a mirror—and a foundation.
Since Zero had entered from near the glacier, he emerged near its mirrored counterpart: a massive, icy-blue pillar, soaring skyward like a frozen monument.
No hesitation. Zero guided the pod forward.
The blades spun. With a grinding screech, the pod sliced through the glacial pillar!
Instantly, in the real world, part of the glacier vanished.
It was just a small segment, at first. No cause for alarm.
But then more chunks began to disappear.
A single fracture… triggered a chain reaction.
And then—it stopped vanishing.
But it was too late.
The enormous ice plain began to move.
After centuries of stillness, the glacier was sliding forward. And its path? Straight toward civilization.
Below, no one suspected a thing.
But the Pokémon in the nearby forests felt it. Instincts honed over millennia screamed—danger.
From every direction, they emerged:
Ursaring. Stantler. Furret. Scyther. Swinub…
And beneath the earth, in a sealed sanctuary, something stirred.
A behemoth. Towering. Primeval.
Its eyes weren't on its head—but on its chest.
Regigigas.
Not the one Ash had caught—another one.
Sensing the glacier's movement, this Regigigas awakened.
And it moved.
The ground quaked as it took its first step.
Dawn and Anabel watched, stunned, as the glacier began to inch toward them.
"Ash… it's really moving!"
"Buneary, Mamoswine—go!"
Dawn didn't hesitate. She called out two of her Pokémon.
"We have to try something! Use Ice Beam!"
Even with shock thick in the air, neither she nor Anabel panicked.
Because the boy standing beside them—he already knew this would happen.
Surely, he had a way to stop it.
The glacier rumbled ominously. Below it… was a lake.
If the glacier crushed the lake, the next target would be—
the forest.
The home of those wild Pokémon.
Buneary and Mamoswine fired their Ice Beams, freezing the lake's surface. They were joined by dozens of other wild Pokémon—any that knew Ice Beam unleashed their power to reinforce the frozen boundary.
They had to stop the glacier.
Because if it crossed the lake… it would crush their home.
Then, from the nearby mountaintop—it appeared.
Regigigas.
Followed by hundreds of Mamoswine!
The earth trembled under their march. It was like an avalanche—but made of Pokémon.
The giant Regigigas took its place before the glacier.
The Mamoswine dug in, tusks angled forward.
Regigigas raised its massive arms—and pushed.
And then… Ash raised his own Master Ball.
The wild Regigigas had just passed Level 90. But his Regigigas…
Was beyond even that.
"Regigigas," Ash whispered, "Show me the strength that once moved continents."
He threw the Poké Ball forward.
"Go, Regigigas!"
