All Elements! All Elements! 2

Ryan suddenly exclaimed, "Ah! Yin-Yang and the Five Elements—how could I forget Yin-Yang? Boom!" It turned out that Ryan had just relaxed his control over the magic in his mind. A surge of elemental energy rushed toward the magical source in his foot, a torrent of elements including the white light of the light element, the pitch-black dark element, purple lightning, gray necrotic energy, deep blue ice, light cyan wind, and transparent spatial energy. They all surged into the tiny magical balance device Ryan had just created. In an instant, Ryan lost control of the magic. The multicolored elements swirled and expanded, contracting, expanding again, all the while flashing with lightning. Our Ryan was knocked unconscious by the turbulent magic. Had his mental strength been at its peak, perhaps he could have maintained the balance, but unfortunately, that was not the case.

Just as Ryan lost consciousness, the fire element in his body surged toward his mind. But his mind was like a bottomless pit, mercilessly absorbing the massive amount of fire magic. If it were a simpler type of magic like water or others, the fire might have triumphed. However, fire produces earth, and as the fire magic poured in, it was absorbed by the earth and wood elements, and counteracted by the ice and water elements. But soon, the earth element grew stronger, and in turn, metal was produced, absorbing the earth magic and growing further. Meanwhile, the water and wood elements supported the earth, and the metal absorbed the water—this vicious cycle led to a situation where no matter what magic entered, it was all futile.

Luckily, Ryan was unconscious, so no external elements could affect him. But if this continued for much longer, things would have become unpredictable. His face changed constantly, flushing red, then turning gold, then looking sacred, and finally deathly pale. His body twitched like a shrimp out of water, jumping and jerking around as if struggling against an invisible force. If he had stopped moving, the energy from his foot might have surged again, causing more trouble.

As the 12 elements—gold, wood, water, fire, earth, light, dark, lightning, ice, wind, necromantic, and spatial—fought each other and supported their similar counterparts, the magic mass grew smaller and more intense over time.

Eventually, Ryan's body came to a halt, and within his mind, the magic source, where the intense battle of magic continued, seemed on the verge of exploding. The magic swelled like a balloon, threatening to burst. But at the critical moment, time seemed to stop. The magic splintered into fragments of various colors, and the balloon-like masses of magic collapsed. They were sucked toward the center of the magical source, where a silver-white dot stood. These swarms of magic, like falling into a bottomless pit, disappeared into the dot. Even the spatial magic, which had not fought other elements, was not spared from this fate. Gradually, the magical source returned to its former calm, but it had expanded several times in size. The silver-white light, like the sun in the sky, remained frozen in place, and Ryan's body returned to its stillness. His breathing became even again.

Not long after Ryan's body stopped twitching, he resumed his Qi cultivation posture. As soon as this was completed, a wave of magic accompanied by elements surged into his mind, forming a giant, colorful funnel that rapidly funneled into the silver-white light. But as time passed, the silver-white light did not expand at all, remaining unchanged. Meanwhile, a colorful aura appeared around Ryan's body.

"Let's go back," Niu Niu, feeling somewhat embarrassed, said to the wind wolf, as she had made exceptions several times to let it deliver her messages. Normally, such creatures were considered small and insignificant.

"Gold, water, wood, fire, earth, light, dark, lightning, ice, wind, necromantic, spatial—all twelve? All twelve? Could it be that this guy has cultivated the primal force? Oh my goodness, this is too much! I have to check his memories," Niu Niu exclaimed, filled with jealousy and excitement as she noticed the glowing aura around Ryan. She quickly tossed her bundle aside and dove into studying Ryan's memories.

"Forget it, I'll just stick to practicing my light and spatial magic," Niu Niu muttered to herself, but the more she read Ryan's memories, the more horrified she became. By the time she finished, she realized she was genuinely scared. If there had been even a slight mistake, the consequences would have been disastrous. Ryan had passed on his entire cultivation knowledge to the entire dimension. It was something even someone with a normal mind would be too afraid to try. Niu Niu was quite sure her mind was perfectly normal, so she quickly abandoned the idea of learning this dangerous magic.

"If this guy wakes up, I'll tell him that cultivating all twelve elements has no bottleneck. But the downside is that his magic consumption is twelve times what it used to be. Do you think he'll faint again? That's quite a dilemma," Niu Niu said to herself, munching on fruit sent by the lord's mansion.

"Oh my goodness! Why does my body feel so sore? It hurts... wait, I'm not dead yet? Oh god, please help me! Is it raining? Hehe! Niu Niu!" Ryan suddenly woke up, feeling like his body had been beaten up, but the sharp pain made him realize he was still alive. He immediately began shouting in his usual way, but when he saw Niu Niu, his previously stiff posture inexplicably relaxed. Safety first, safety first, right?

"Whoa, all twelve elements? Impressive," Niu Niu said, her words dripping with a strong sense of jealousy as she circled Ryan like a hawk. "Impressive, huh? I've learned that word from you," she added sarcastically.

"Uh, oh my goodness, I'm so lucky. Aralos, wow!" Ryan checked his magical source and saw the silver-white light. He didn't quite understand it at first, but after concentrating, a small fireball appeared in his hand, followed by wind blades, earth shields, metal barriers, wood spikes, and water orbs, all appearing on his fingers one by one. With his mind focused, he recited the familiar incantations. Each time he spoke the incantation, the silver-white light would release a surge of energy from a different element. The magic books he had read only had these elements with spells up to level 4, but Ryan could only use level 1 magic for now.

"Electricity! I get it now," Ryan said, finally understanding. "Electricity—like on Earth—can be transformed into heat, light, electromagnetic waves, and so on. But in the end, everything depends on electricity."

"Electricity? Electricity? No way! Is that a mutated magic? Spells are not that easy to obtain," Niu Niu, who had been feeling irritated by Ryan's natural talent, suddenly snapped. She quickly grabbed the wooden bowl in her hand and hurled it at him.

"You! You! You're saying I can cast lightning magic too?" Ryan asked, feeling excited despite the pain from the impact. He was thrilled at the idea of mastering lightning magic, just like the characters in Earth's novels who were always so powerful.

"Hmph, not just lightning, but light, dark, necromantic, spatial, ice, and a total of twelve elements. Otherwise, how could it be called all elements?" Niu Niu said, watching Ryan's ignorant excitement with a hint of satisfaction.

"Oh! Twelve elements! Twelve! What a beautiful number! How auspicious!…" Ryan fell into a blissful state, lost in the wonder of the number twelve.

Cough, "Twelve is great, but to level up, you'll need twelve times the magic energy you needed before. So, just accept it," Niu Niu said, her voice casual but laced with the bitter truth.

"Twelve? Oh my god, my angel… wait, what did you say?" Ryan snapped out of his thoughts and blinked, trying to make sense of Niu Niu's words.

Sighing, Niu Niu explained patiently, "That means, if you needed one unit of magic energy to level up before, now you'll need twelve. To level up to a second-tier magician, you'll need at least twelve units of magic energy. Do you get it now?"

"I get it. So, my leveling-up time is delayed twelve times longer," Ryan said, looking confused.

"That's roughly it, but it's not quite that simple. You won't need to filter the magic energy with your mental power, and you'll recover even while you sleep. So, it's more like two or three times the original time. Hey! Why did you fall asleep again? You need to eat more fruit!" Niu Niu finished her explanation, only to see Ryan collapse again. She then bet with herself whether Ryan would faint when he heard the news, and as she had predicted, he fainted. Laughing, Niu Niu went off to finish her fruit.
