As soon as he reached me, Old Wu was panting heavily. He pointed at me, and after a considerable pause, exclaimed, “You little rascal, how dare you cross me?”

“It was you who initiated it…”

“I spoke the truth that day!”

“Just as I am speaking the truth now…”

“I didn’t cheat!”

“I never accused you of cheating. I referred to your actions that day…”

Old Wu was momentarily at a loss for words, his retort stifled. Rolling his eyes, he insisted, “I don’t care; today I owe them over six hundred. You’re covering that!”

“Not a chance!”

With that, I turned to leave. Old Wu quickly positioned himself in front of me, arms outstretched to block my path.

“No way, you must pay!”

I regarded him coolly, deliberately taunting him. “What’s this? No more gambling, just outright robbery?”
