Aunt Qian’s words elicited an immediate response from the second boss, who expressed his dissatisfaction. He had little regard for her authority. Aunt Qian felt a twinge of awkwardness at the exchange. Just then, Uncle Zhong interjected,

His words rendered the second boss momentarily speechless. Though still visibly frustrated, he refrained from further argument. Once Jareyh and the representatives from Elephant Tower departed, the meeting room fell into silence once more. The second boss turned his ire toward Elysianne,

“All of this trouble has been instigated by Elysianne. Isn’t it time we discussed reclaiming her casinos?”

Uncle Zhong glanced around the room, coldly inquiring,

“What do we all think?”

To my surprise, the matronly sister-in-law, who had remained silent until now, spoke up,
