Sunny's sharp tone rendered the buck-toothed man quivering like a leaf. He was about to speak when Eason suddenly delivered a forceful kick, striking the man squarely in the abdomen.
With a thud, the buck-toothed man collapsed to the ground.
“Where are your accomplices?” Eason demanded.
Curled up on the floor, clutching his belly in agony, the man took a moment before responding, “I have no accomplices. I was hired for two thousand a day. The one who hired me is at the hotel at the end of the street!”
Without hesitation, Eason yanked the buck-toothed man up. “Get up! Take me to the person who hired you, now!”
Turning to Sunny, Eason added, “Sunny, I’m going to apprehend the one who hired him. You can relax; I’ll handle this. Oh, and please reserve a nice restaurant for us. We’ll celebrate Lupan later…”
As he was about to leave, I interjected, “Eason, is it necessary for you to handle such a trivial matter personally?”
