Important Announcement

The magical bells of Dreame College echoed through the air, shattering the silence that accompanied dawn.

Their melodic chime signaled an important announcement, and students rushed to the main hall, eager to avoid tardiness. Charlene trailed behind Hazel, unsure of their destination.

Blake disappeared from his room, his teleportation swift and silent. Louis, caught off guard, yelled, "Wait for me!" as he dashed out of the kitchen. But Blake had already vanished.

"Damn, he's still angry," Louis muttered, hastening his pace. "How am I even supposed to get there before the announcement?" Louis's face scrunched in frustration, his child-like pout momentarily replacing his usual composure. Just as he stepped out of his hostel, he found himself standing in the Auditorium.

A knowing grin spread across Louis's face. "He still has a heart after all." His eyes sparkled with amusement, and a soft smile played on his lips.

"Greetings, great Amazons. You must be wondering why you were summoned. An important announcement must be made" Master Kang's voice echoed through the Auditorium which was already dead silent and clouded with anticipation.

"Charlene Alondria Craig, please wait behind immediately after" he added and left the podium.

The Auditorium went noisy, with whispers flying around as concern and anticipation seemed etched on every face present.

Those with foresight and seer abilities tried to predict the announcement, but it seemed impossible and that in itself, heightened the tension in the hall.

Shaman Dean approached the podium, his piercing gaze sweeping across the students.

"Greetings, great Amazons," Shaman Dean began and once again, the Auditorium went silent. "My time draws near, and I must leave Almerita soon to prevent the curse of a Shaman's death from befalling you all."

The hall erupted into murmured and worried whispers.

"What does he mean?"

"Will we become vulnerable to evil?"

"Will Dreame College remain safe?"

Shaman Dean's voice rose above the whispers. "Remember our guiding Principle?"

"Let Love Lead" The students chorused

"Evil, on it's own cannot get into Dreame College, except invited by words, thoughts, and actions" he paused and his eyes darted sound the auditorium, before resting on Blake "Avoid HATRED, JEALOUSY, ENVY AND ANGER, for these are what the enemies need to invade Almerita"

The hall went extremely silent, as everyone seemed to have been thrown into deep thoughts and fear.

"Be your brothers keeper" Shaman Dean's voice rang again "you're all you have remember that, and I will be watching from beyond."

A wave of emotions swept through the auditorium, tears and whispers filling the air. Tears streamed down Hazel's cheeks, Melanie kept staring around blankly, Layla's eyes brimmed with sorrow. Charlene's mind reeled, unsure of what to think or how to react.

Charlene looked around and her gaze caught Blake, lingering on him. As she stared at his impassive face, she wondered. "Why does he always seem sort of detached?" A hint of sympathy crept into her thoughts. "Maybe he's struggling with something"

She smiled wryly to herself. "But no, Cute guys don't have problems right?"

Blake observed the chaos with an unreadable expression. Charlene's internal monologue drifted into his mind, and he fought the urge to smile. "Does she even know how to shield her thoughts?" He wondered.

The fact that Shaman Dean was leaving echoed in Blake's mind and a sigh escaped his lips. He couldn't deny the fact that he was scared of his own thoughts and imaginations. He suddenly felt some sort of pains in his chest and taking his gaze up, he sighted Hazel crying "shit" he cursed.

"There's no need for fear, great Amazons. Our duty still remains to protect ourselves and the race that once stood against us" Shaman Dean said in a soothing tone.

"My spirit will always be with you. Remember that I love each of you" he paused and took a quick glance at Melanie then sighed.

"Harness your unique powers, but reject hate and evil" he said his voice cracking.

"Classes are canceled for today. Everyone except Miss Craig, return to your Dorm rooms" Master Ryan announced and slowly, the crowd filed out, bidding farewell to Shaman Dean.

Once the hall emptied, Master Kang exchanged a knowing glance with Shaman Dean before excusing himself, leaving Charlene alone with the departing shaman.

Aiden's thoughts wandered as he strolled back to his hostel with Midas. "why was she asked to wait?" He muttered aloud.

Maybe she has something to do with this" Midas replied.

"You think so? Because I can't wrap my head around it" Aiden mumbled concern etched on his face.

"Why else will she be asked to wait?" Midas shrugged.

"I do hope she's fine though" Aiden said turning open his doorknob, the smell of roses filling his nose.

Getting back into his room, Blake took off his jacket and laid on his bed. Although attempting to conceal it, he was bothered.

"What exactly is she?" He asked himself. There was a strange aura surrounding her, and surprisingly he found himself wanting to know more, as though a magnetic force was drawing him to her.

"She certainly isn't a regular Amazon" He muttered and shut his eyes, allowing his mind to wander, still he couldn't figure out exactly who she is.

"Urgg" he groaned, tapping his forehead in frustration.

The Auditorium was dead silent, with Charlene's thoughts running wild and Shaman Dean's mind wandering.

"You're surprised I asked you to wait right?" He asked his piercing gaze on Charlene and his voice Low and measured.

Charlene nodded anxiously, her heart racing.

"There's so much you need to know, but my duty is to hint not reveal" He said, his eyes clouded with concern. "Charlene you're a gift, born with a powerful destiny. But beware, a dark fate looms, threatening to claim your life. One misstep, and your destiny will be twisted."

Charlene's breath caught, her heart racing with nervousness "what do you mean sir?" She asked with a trembling voice.

"With time, you'll understand. For now master your abilities for soon you'd need them to survive...soon the entire Amazons will need them. Remember the deity of protection watches over you"

Charlene's confusion deepened as fear gripped her "but who will protect me from my self and the seeming destruction of my abilities ?"

"That Charlene, is the greatest challenge" He paused, his voice taking on a serious time. "Share this with no one Alondria Craig, your life depends on it"...
