Damian and his opponent, Kane stood face to face on the large platform ready to fight. Students were all gathered around the stage eager to watch the batyle that was about to unfold. By the side of the stage, stood a small shop where bets were being placed. The odds of the ranked opponents wining were high and the odds of the duo winning was ridiculously low. Chen used this opportunity to place a huge bet on Damian, he staked five thousand gold coins, a thousand which was given to him by Mr Ken for coming out on top in the assignment and four thousand from him. Damian also gave him five hundred gold coins to bet with. The fight was spectated by a third year, the person ranked 20 on the leaderboard to be exact. Damian opponent, Kane was already in the warrior realm.while Damian was at the pinnacle of the human realm, level 9. The fight began with Kane taking the offense and Damian the defence. Kane's power was the power of telekinesis. He dipped his arm into his pockets and brought out ten pocket daggers, five from each pocket. These daggers looked small im size but Damian knew that these daggers could deal a whole lot of damage to him if connected with him. The daggers floated in front of Kane for some seconds before he launched them towards Damian. A dagger scratched Damian's face before he could make a move, the reamaining daggers followed. Damian created a shadow wall to block the attack but the daggers avoided the wall heading towards Damian once again. Damian evaded the daggers but not without casualties on his body. He was injured, the onslaught of the daggers was too much for him and he ended up being hit countless times. "What should i do?, i can't reach him like this". Damian thought. Another dagger pierced Damian on his shoulder as he was lost in thought. He held back his scream staring deeply at Kane. The killing intent emmiting out of his body rose with each passing second. The daggers advanced again but Damian avoided everything. " Whoa, such fast reflexes". The crowd was in an uproar. "How can he easily evade my attacks, wasn't he getting hit by these daggers few minutes ago?". Kane thought. Damian had only one goal, to get close to Kane. The barrage of attacks continued but Damian evaded with fast reflexes. " he's trying to cover the distance between us". Kane quickly figured out Damian's plan. "heh,heh,heh". Kane chuckled loudly making Damian to halt in his track. " why are you laughing?". Damian asked annoyed. "You want to close the distance, good thinking but i've figured it out". Kane said.
