CHAPTER 22***CHEN VS DAVE*

Damian's battle was finally over and the hundred gold coins from the bet earlier was given to him. Now it was the second fight of the day. Chen vs the ranked 99, also known as Dave. The fight began with both fighters standing still waiting for the right opportunity to attack. *BOO*. The crowd booed as the fighters stood still instead of giving them the fight right away. The ranked 99 attacked. Vines erupted from thr platform about to close down on Chen. Chen attacked with his blood daggers also slicing through the attacks. Dave kept on attacking and Chen was àlmost being surpressed. Chen searched keenly for an opening until finally, he found one. Darting through the opening, he arrived in front of Dave. Dave as if waiting for this attack also made a spear made of vines. He countered Chen's attack and even attacked Chen, pushing him back. "How's he that fast?". Chen thought. As if reading Chen's mind, Dave answered. " The difference between the human realm and the warrior realm is so vast, the ranked 100 hasn't spent time in the warrior realm but i have spent roughly two months in the warrior realm". Dave explained. The explanation surprisingly got Chen smiling. "I love strong opponents and i hope you are worth it". Chen spoke confidently startling the spectators. Meanwhile, Damian was already placing his bet on Chen wining. The person in charge of the gambling stared at him as if he was a fool. Damian placed five hundred gold coins on Chen wining. Dave raised his hands up in the air with a frown on his face. " I hate cocky people". Dave stated clearly. Vines with sharp edges headed towards Chen at full speed. Chen gathered strength in his legs, jumping with incredible agility and speed. He passed through the torrent of vines clenching his fists mid air, he struck. Dave created a shield intertwined with several vines. Chen punched out a hole in the shield rendering it useless even before it could be effectively used.
