***SERZ VILLAGE, DAMIAN HOME***

The inhabitants of the village all stood in open mouthed awe at what they were seeing, a car. Damian got down from the car accompanied by Chen who insisted on carrying his bags for him. An old woman in her early sixties slowly walked to Damian. "Is th..at yo..urs" She slowly asked and from the way her face was, it was obvious that she wouldn't believe Damian if he said it was his. "No, Nana" Damian simply replied. "It belongs to my friend" Damian added, pointing at Chen. "Good day ma" Chen immediately greeted, showing his respect. "Welcome back Son, it's been long you left us and we prepared a bountiful welcome dinner for you to enjoy" the old lady known as Nana said to Damian. "You don't have to Nana, i'm okay like this" Damian was about to refuse. "You can't refuse, we all contributed to making this feast happen so refusing it would be the same as making everyone in this village sad" Nana explained. Damian eyes began to get moist as tears rolled out of them. "Thanks Nana, i will make you guys proud" Damian reassured them. While Damian was having his little chet with Nana, Chen inspected the village. The streets and roads of Serz village was dirty, muddy and rough, the clothes the children and adults were putting on looked almost like rags, the houses there were old model houses made of bricks and muds. After this discovery, Chen began to look at Damian in a new light. Not in a bad ome but a really good one. Even though he came from a really poor background, he never gave up, he and the people in his village saved up money to send him to Shiketsu academy in hopes that he would redeem their poor village by becoming a high rank explorer. "Chen, quit zoning out" Damian violently shook Chen bringing him out of his rail of thoughts. "Come join us celebrate Damian's return from the academy" Nana invited Chen to dine with them to which Chen agreed to. So Chen, Damian and Derrek{Chen's butler} all went to dine together with the people of Serz village. The celebration took place in the village square. Several meals were dished out and Chen really had a great time, he got to know more about Damian's village. The old woman was the wife of the dead chief of the village and she was so nice that she treats everyone as her children and coupled with the fact that the acted as Damian's mother as he had none. Before leaving, Chen gave Damian five thousanf gold coins to aid his village and that he would drop by sometime. "Hey, get stronger cause i don't befriend weak people" Damian said to Chen just before he left. "Hey, that's my line" Chen retorted with a fake frown. They wished themselves goodbye before going their seperate ways.

It was almost dusk when Chen and his butler got home. Druig, Chen's father blamed the butler for arriving late with his son but Chen stepped up, taking the blame for everytheing that happened but this still didn't quell his dad's anger. "Get into your room" Druig ordered Chen who did as he was ordered leaving Druig and Derrek alone. "You took a risk today Derrek, i know you are capablebut know that even the strongest can be defeated" Druig spoke in a low but deep voice. "I know, it won't happen again" Derrek apologised.
