Lanterns

A ride comes with a price? What could be the price?

———

It's been two days since i asked him out on a lantern festival together, today is the day, alright i'll ask him out!, that's what i'm thinking about in the middle of the night.

The birds were chirping soundly, the weather was quite chill and the smell of rain was ultimately very relaxing, I went back inside and took the fur robe, and went outside, i snapped my fingers and rode the clouds to Shang Qinghua's place.

*Knock *knock

"Shang Qinghua are you there?"

"Answer me if you're there"

I asked.

"Wait, wait a second! I'm getting ready"

He replied.

The door was opened with a bang, and i stared at him for quite some time

"Sorry did you wait long?"

This beautiful person said.

He wore a beautiful red garment which accentuate him. I think it's beautiful..

"Let's go!" He grabbed my hand and pull me while running to the festival.

The sky went darker as we ran through the woods, we saw a white deer and rabbit there. As we exited the forest there was a city down the cliff where we stand.

"Fly us there!" Shang Qinghua said to me.

"...." I muttered,

"Only if you peck a kiss on me.."

I negotiated.

".... Nonono are you perhaps into men? Mobei-Jun? Seriously?" He replied.

"I heard some rumors that you weren't straight! But i thought it wasn't true.." He continued.

"..."

"So are you rejecting my offer? A kiss is a cheap price for a flight.."

"It's good offer, i promise"

I sound desperate.

"On the cheek."

"Only on the cheek."

He replied with a bit embarassed tone.

He came closer and tiptoed to reach my face, as i crouched down, he pulled my hands and leave a peck on my cheek.

warm and cold, his lips leaves a feeling i can't describe, i can't help but wanting to jump on him yet i'm freezing in place. The spot where he kissed leave a warmth as a mark.

I wrap my hands on his waist and pull him closer, our waist were hugging each other and clouds were forming under our feet. Then we both rode down to the city.

He slightly pushed my chest away from him as to not fall down from the clouds. Oh.. how i wish time to stop...

His face went red and i felt something hard inside my pants, i've been unconciously moving that hard part closer to him while we rode on the clouds.

My hands twitched and the inside of my pants grew even bigger, as if trying to penetrate between his legs.

"Ahh.. stopp.. stop it.." Shang Qinghua said

"Hnn.. nghhh" he moaned in a small voice, trying to not let me hear him.

The back of his palm covered his mouth and he closed his eyes as an attempt to let the feeling disappear.

This is so...alluring, i spoke in my mind,

"You are very hot, do you know that?" I asked him

Haaa.. i might soil my pants at this rate,

I thought.

He stared at my eyes with an upset look and a bit of tears in his eyes, his cheek however, was still red.

I patted his back and move my hand up and down, we then safely landed on a grass area near the selling food stall in lantern festival.

The sun was rising down, it was dawn already, today sure gets dark quite early.

"Y-yeah actually on certain days of the year, some days were shorter than the other" Shang Qinghua said.

We held each other's hand as we ran through the festival. The lights brimmed of warmth, mouthwatering scent of sweets flows across the street.

"Do you know what this is?" Shang Qinghua spoke to me.

"No.. it looked like an eyeball covered in sweet red.. blood" Mobei-Jun answered.

"It's a Tanghulu! what are you talking about" he shook his head.

"Oh, i see.." i said while looking at the stick.

"Here, one for you, taste it." Shang Qinghua said.

I took a bite from the Tanghulu and licked my mouth, crunching through it like a person who haven't ate all day.

"Do you like it that much?" He asked.

"Yeah, it's sweet and red and crunchy, kind of remind me of crushing skulls." I said.

He looked at me a bit weirdly then decided to visit another stall, i followed him.

"This one, have you seen this? You catch the koi fish with this round paper stick and put it in that basket"

"Apparently this type of thing is popular in China and Japan, i've tried this a few times back with the An Ding Peak students"

"Here you go" He said, as he threw the stick with wooden paper.

I sat there, trying to catch the fishes, but they all wouldn't come near me.

"Are you a demon lord, that's why they wouldn't come near you?" Shang Qinghua asked, as he looked at my eyes.

"Yeah." I answered

"These fish doesn't seem to like me"

I said, thinking maybe it would be better to just freeze the pond and fish them out.

"Come let me show you, they used to call me the master fish catcher of An Ding for a reason!"

Shang Qinghua said, while giggling.

As the fish ran away, he quickly place the stick under and pulled it upward,

"This one is big!" As he pointed the Koi with his other hand. The Koi jumped mid air and tore the paper of the stick.

"Ahh.. almost" He said.

I couldn't help but laughed at him.

The night was coming,

the street lighting were set on,

People started flewing lanterns to the sky.
