Reject or accept?

"You know Shang Qinghua.." he whispered

"This is the first time i've felt this way towards a human.." he continued whispering beside my ear.

... I understand, Mobei-Jun is in love, with a man. If i accepted to date in purpose of marriage, as the face of An Ding Peak lord, the students will definitely be disappointed in me, the other lord won't probably allow that either.

In the case of Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe, they both have lived in Cang Qiong mountain for more than 10 years, And Luo Binghe actually helped Cang Qiong and other sects in the human realm. Accepting him as the groom of the sect's tactician wasn't that bordering.

Mobei-Jun however did not have any relation with the sects nor any of the peak lords. Accepting him would be very difficult, i might get kicked out from An Ding, his position would not be safe either.

"My lord, i don't think it's appropriate for us to start a relationship" Shang Qinghua said to Mobei-Jun

"Why? Do you hate me?" He looked at me with his frowned expression.

"That's not it my lord, it's just.. that it would mean giving up our position as the lord in human and demon realm.." I answered him

".. is that so?"

"What do you think about me..Qinghua? Have you grown any feelings for me yet?"

Mobei-Jun asked with his trembled voice.

"I'm afraid not yet, my lord.." i answered him while looking down.

Mobei-Jun looked at me with eyes about to be drowned in tears, he then wiped his wet cheeks with his hand.

"I'm sorry my lord, i did not mean to offend or hurt you" i said with a bit of guilt and worry.

"My lord, i do not dislike you, you have helped me in my most difficult times and i've known you as a friend." I continued in an attempt to comfort him.

"Please don't cry, my lord, your underlings will laugh at you if they saw you in this pitiful sight.."

Shang Qinghua continued.

"..." Mobei-Jun went quiet for some time.

With red eyes cheeks wet from his tears, he ran out the room and disappeared.

I might have been too harsh on him, despite his brave and cool demeanor he has a very soft heart. Proposing to someone takes courage and i rejected him right of the bat.

Ever since then i haven't saw Mobei-Jun. I figure he might be trying to mend his heartbreak. So i decide to not bother or try to seek for him, letting him heal and forget about all that happened with us might be the best thing to do.

I ran out of sugar so i decide to take some sugarcane as a substitute.

In the morning, i head to the early market.

The crowds were murmuring, noises of birds, river, bells, and people selling goods were around. I headed to the shops and asked for sugarcanes, but none of them have it.

"Why is it not in stock? They usually farm it every month and not many people actually buy it, was the weather affecting the harvest.." I thought.

Until one of the seller of the stalls i went to said,

"Some big tall guy with fur coat took all the sugar this morning, he gave me 5 gold coins, at this rate i might not have to open a shop anymore hahaha!" He giggled his way out to a brothel.

Rich, big tall guy, wearing a fur coat. Unmistakably, He's Mobei-Jun. I might be overthinking, but i have never saw person wearing fur coat in hot summer season, since human were hot-blooded creatures, they wouldn't wear such thick clothing during this season.

So the culprit must be a demon, which is cold-blooded. The demon with human-like figure who are able to enter the human realm as they like, were only Higher up demon, Mobei-Jun, Luo Binghe, Tianlang-Jun, Linguang-Jun and Meng Mo. Other demons were highly restricted or were not able to because the energy flow in the human realm were not as dense as in demon realm.

And between all of them, the only crazy person who would wear a fur coat during all 4 seasons was only Mobei-Jun. I slapped my forehead.

"Haaa.. what is he doing here.."

"What would he need with that much sugarcane anyways" I sighed
