Team Rocket’s Second-in-Command! [345] [200 PS]

As the light faded, Mewtwo's new form appeared on the training ground.

The transformed Mewtwo was significantly smaller, its legs floating off the ground while its slender body seemed almost delicate. The tail that once extended from its lower back now sprouted from the back of its head, dyed a vibrant purple and resembling long hair.

"It worked...!"

Blaine's eyes glistened with excitement as he stared at the newly evolved Mewtwo Y.

This was an unprecedented breakthrough in Pokémon evolution research. While other regions were still exploring how many Pokémon could achieve Mega Evolution, Team Rocket had already crafted a man-made Mega Evolution Stone for the artificial Legendary, Mewtwo.

If this accomplishment were ever revealed to the world, it would undoubtedly send shockwaves across the globe.

However, the New Island Research Base was a secret facility operated by the shadowy Team Rocket. Such achievements could never be made public, and the thrill of this success was theirs alone to savor—a bittersweet triumph for Rocket's secluded researchers.

Mewtwo was quick to notice the changes in its body.

"How does the new form feel?" Luo Yuan asked through telepathy.

"It's... an unusual sensation," Mewtwo replied, flexing its newly transformed hands. "My fingers are more dexterous, though I miss having a tail. The appendage on the back of my head seems to compensate for its absence, though."

Like a product tester, Mewtwo provided feedback on its experience with the new form.

"And your psychic power?" Luo Yuan inquired.

"It feels stronger... My brain cells are more active than ever before."

Closing its eyes, Mewtwo focused. Its ears and the ring-like structures on its head trembled slightly before it suddenly opened its glowing blue eyes.

From Luo Yuan and Sabrina's perspective, a terrifying wave of psychic energy erupted from Mewtwo's body.

A massive steel cube, labeled "100t," floated effortlessly into the air as if gravity had ceased to exist.

Mewtwo manipulated the enormous object like a toy, lifting it with ease.

With a slight flick of its arm, the steel cube was hurled sideways.

BOOM!

The cube smashed into a target with devastating force, shattering it to pieces. The ground trembled from the impact, triggering a localized earthquake alarm across the base.

Matori had to contact the base's control center to deactivate the alarms.

"I barely feel the strain. I'm not even close to my limit," Mewtwo informed Luo Yuan through telepathy.

"...." Luo Yuan remained silent.

If he had previously been able to compete with Mewtwo in terms of psychic strength, this new form had rendered any such notion impossible.

Better not provoke it, Luo Yuan thought grimly.

While Luo Yuan was taken aback, Blaine was utterly floored.

He'd witnessed Mewtwo's power during its initial creation, back when Giovanni had conducted a series of strength tests after capturing it. Those tests were still archived in Team Rocket's database.

But seeing Mewtwo's sheer might in person... Blaine had to admit that no recording could ever capture the raw impact of witnessing it firsthand.

Even compared to those old records, Mewtwo's current power seemed far more ferocious.

Blaine recalled hearing that Luo Yuan had used Mewtwo to fight Groudon in Hoenn, resulting in a stalemate.

But if this was Mewtwo Y, Blaine had no doubt it could dominate Groudon in a fight.

Luo Yuan proceeded to run Mewtwo through a series of tests using the base's advanced equipment, assessing its speed, reflexes, and durability.

The results matched his expectations—Mewtwo's speed and special defense had significantly increased, though its physical defense had decreased.

And its psychic power? Luo Yuan glanced at Mewtwo, who was casually tossing the hundred-ton steel cube like a beach ball.

This boost is absurd.

Still, it was a welcome development. With his trip to the Alola region looming, having Mewtwo's enhanced strength would make his mission much easier.

After Mewtwo set the steel block down, Luo Yuan released Deoxys to conduct a combat test.

No matter how impressive the power-up, its true value had to be proven in battle.

As Deoxys emerged, it immediately noticed the unfamiliar yet strangely familiar figure before it.

The aura was unmistakably Mewtwo's, but its appearance was drastically different.

"This is Mewtwo's new form," Luo Yuan explained. "Deoxys, I need you to help test it."

Deoxys nodded and instantly shifted to its Defense Forme.

It could sense the overwhelming power emanating from Mewtwo and wasn't about to take any chances.

Mewtwo, on the other hand, was eager to begin.

Once both Pokémon were ready, Luo Yuan gave the signal.

Whoosh!

The two Legendary Pokémon moved faster than the human eye could follow, clashing with incredible force.

The air filled with the sharp screech of atmospheric pressure being torn apart.

Neither Mewtwo nor Deoxys could be seen—only the explosive sounds of their collisions, the shockwaves rippling through the battlefield, and the chaotic winds tearing at the surroundings gave any indication of the battle.

Among those present, only Luo Yuan and Sabrina, using their psychic abilities, could track the combat in real-time.

Matori and Blaine were forced to rely on slow-motion footage from cameras set up around the arena.

The fight lasted a mere minute before Luo Yuan called it off.

Mewtwo had clearly dominated the encounter.

Deoxys, despite its adaptability, was no match for Mewtwo's enhanced psychic power.

As for why Luo Yuan ended the battle early—

He surveyed the ruined battlefield, the ground torn apart and the steel walls covered in deep gashes from their attacks.

If this continues, they'll dismantle the entire base.

---

Deactivating Mega Evolution, Luo Yuan turned to Mewtwo, who looked slightly disappointed.

"You'll have plenty of chances to use this form in the future," Luo Yuan said with a smile. "Besides, you still have another form in development."

After recalling Mewtwo to its Poké Ball, Luo Yuan addressed Blaine, who was still lost in thought from the earlier battle.

"I'm taking this Mega Stone with me. As for the X variant, I'll leave it in your hands, Blaine."

"Huh? Oh, of course!" Blaine replied, snapping out of his daze.
