Part 4 - Usuratonkachi

The three of them enter the hotel and approach the receptionist. The people in the hotel give them strange looks.

"It seems my guess was right. This is not an ordinary hotel."

"The other hotels are full. We came here to rest because there's no other place. Can you give us three rooms?"

Su Fan raises his voice so that everyone in the place can hear his explanation. And sure enough, the people's stares return to normal after Su Fan says that. However, Tang San and Xiao Wu still don't realize the meaning behind Su Fan's actions, making them both look at him strangely.

"I'm sorry, esteemed guests. But we only have one room left, so..."

"It looks like that girl really has good taste."

A blonde-haired man with heterochromatic eyes—one red and one blue—appears, accompanied by two identical twin women. He places his hands on their waists, a mischievous smile on his face, and his voice carrying a careless tone. He is Dai Mubai, one of the seven members of Shrek. He walks toward the receptionist with a delinquent-like attitude. Tang San calmly speaks to him.

"Our group arrived first, so..."

"So what?"

Xiao Wu, unable to tolerate someone like Dai Mubai, immediately snaps at him.

"Nothing. But you need to leave now!"

"You dare speak to me like that? I see that you're also spirit masters. How about the three of you—"

Seeing that violence is now unavoidable, Su Fan takes the initiative and grabs Dai Mubai by the collar. Dai Mubai is shocked when Su Fan suddenly appears in front of him in an instant. Without giving him any chance to react, Su Fan kicks his chin, sending him flying into the air. Fortunately, Dai Mubai lands perfectly and hides his pain to maintain his pride.

"Hmph! Is that all—"

Before he can finish his sentence, a powerful kick lands directly on his face, launching him out of the hotel and crashing into the building across the street.

"You talk too much, loser (Usuratonkachi)."

The people around watch Su Fan standing there with a cold temperament, his hair slightly swaying in the wind, making the women who witness the scene swoon. Meanwhile, the manager and the twin women tremble in fear upon seeing Su Fan's gaze. He then shifts his focus to the manager and the twin women, looking directly at them.

"Leave."

The twin women immediately run out of the hotel. Once they are gone, Su Fan looks at the manager.

"The remaining room is ours."

"Y-yes! The remaining room is yours!"

Stammering, the manager hands the key to Su Fan with both hands. Su Fan takes it and turns around to find the room.

"Let's go."

Xiao Wu happily follows Su Fan, while Tang San nods in understanding. The three of them walk through the hotel and find their room.

When Su Fan shows the key, Xiao Wu suddenly snatches it from his hand and opens the room. As the door swings open, Tang San finally realizes why Su Fan was so reluctant to choose this hotel.

'No wonder Su Fan hesitated. I was too focused on Xiao Wu, so I didn't even notice what kind of hotel this was. If this is the case, am I sending Xiao Wu into the lion's den?'

Tang San starts imagining strange things between Su Fan and Xiao Wu—scenarios where they get intimate inside the room until...

'Just let Tang San hear it~ Tonight, I'm all yours, Brother Fan~ Ahhh, yes, Brother, harder~ Let's make Tang San hear our love~'

"No!!!"

Tang San suddenly explodes, shocking both Su Fan and Xiao Wu. Su Fan looks at Tang San with a puzzled expression.

"Tang San, what's wrong with you?"

Realizing his terrible fantasy, Tang San looks at Su Fan and Xiao Wu, his face turning red. Seeing his flushed expression, Xiao Wu also starts thinking of strange things.

"Tang San, I hope you're not thinking about weird things regarding me! If you are---"

Hearing Xiao Wu's threat as she clenches her fists, Tang San can only nod guiltily. However, his anxiety grows stronger. His disturbing fantasies make him restless, forcing his mind to think of ways to separate Su Fan and Xiao Wu.

"Su Fan, do you have any plans for today?"

"Hmm... I was planning to head to the Stardou Forest border for work after today. I might come back late or maybe not at all tonight."

"I see..."

Tang San exhales in relief after hearing Su Fan's explanation.

'At least I have until tonight to figure out how to prevent anything bad from happening.'

To avoid suspicion, Tang San quickly changes the topic.

"In that case, how about we walk around the city to get to know the area better?"

"You and Xiao Wu can go. I plan to head to the Stardou Forest border now. I hope you two don't do anything weird without me."

'That's supposed to be my line.'

Xiao Wu hearing that Su Fan won't be with them tonight suddenly becomes sad.

"Brother Fan, how about you go tomorrow instead? Besides, it's better to rest first since we'll be registering for the academy tomorrow."

Sensing the situation worsening because of Xiao Wu, Tang San quickly steps in to support Su Fan's decision.

"Xiao Wu, Su Fan is working for your sake. Besides, I heard the academy's entrance fees are quite high, so give Su Fan some understanding."

Having known Tang San for years, Xiao Wu immediately understands what he is thinking.

'This guy is trying to take advantage of the situation again.'

"Tang San! I've seen Brother Fan's savings, and he has more than enough money even enough to buy a small academy. Besides, he's not a spendthrift, so there's no way he'll use up all his money just to enter an unknown academy."

"Eh..."

Hearing that, Tang San loses his reasoning to strengthen his argument. Seeing them bickering again, Su Fan decides to postpone his departure.

'Maybe Xiao Wu has a point.'

"Alright. I'll do my work tomorrow and we'll go for a walk today."

"Yay! Brother Fan is the best!"

Xiao Wu runs toward Su Fan and hugs him. Su Fan smiles at her behavior and gently pats her head. Meanwhile, Tang San, watching them, falls into another series of nightmare fantasies in his mind.
