Xu Jiayan stared at her for a while and then walked over to lie down beside her, turned off the light, closed his eyes, and said, "Sleep!"
The little girl tossed and turned beside him.
After a long while, there was still the sound of rustling beside him.
Xu Jiayan opened his eyes and asked, "Why aren't you sleeping yet?"
"I can't sleep!" came the girl's aggrieved voice from the darkness.
Xu Jiayan turned the light back on.
Jiang Yuan was lying beside him. Seeing him looking over, she couldn't help but pout, appearing hesitant to speak.
"What's wrong?" he asked softly.
The girl blinked her big eyes, her long eyelashes trembling with nervousness and distress, "Brother Yan, when you go to your new school, will you start liking other girls?"
Was this girl staying up at night worrying about such things?
Xu Jiayan: "No!"
"Really? You're not lying to me?" the girl asked, both pleased and a little worried.
Xu Jiayan: "Yeah! I'm not lying to you."
