The next day.
Xu Jinzhi had slept late the night before, and now she was woken up by the alarm clock ringing incessantly in her ears. With her eyes still closed, she groped for her phone and then promptly turned off the alarm.
The sound stopped abruptly, and Xu Jinzhi tossed the phone aside, lying motionless in bed as if she fell asleep again.
It wasn't until a few minutes later that Xu Jinzhi finally managed to open her eyes with difficulty, glanced at the time on her phone, and then swiftly sat up in bed.
Xu Jinzhi was truly exhausted, still feeling wearied even as she sat upright. If she had known, she wouldn't have packed her schedule so full.
Yet, with her wedding just a few days away, she thought it wouldn't hurt to suffer a little more.
